  • Mavericks' Daniel Gafford: Won't play Wednesday

Gafford (shoulder) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against Denver, Brad Townsend of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Gafford has been downgraded from questionable to out Wednesday. The 27-year-old center picked up a sprained right shoulder in the Mavericks' most recent game. With Gafford out of the picture Wednesday, Marvin Bagley and Dwight Powell could see more playing time. Gafford's next chance to play will come Friday at Portland.

  • Kyle Kuzma PF | MIL

Bucks' Kyle Kuzma: Won't play Wednesday

Kuzma (Achilles) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game in Portland.

This will be Kuzma's second straight game on the sidelines, and for now, he should be considered highly questionable for Saturday's meeting with the Spurs. Jericho Sims and Pete Nance will help pick up the slack in Kuzma's absence.

  • Mavericks' Brandon Williams: Cleared to face Denver

Williams (concussion) is available for Wednesday's game against the Nuggets, Brad Townsend of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Williams will return from a three-game absence due to a concussion. His return could spell fewer minutes for Ryan Nembhard and Klay Thompson.

  • Bobby Portis PF | MIL

Bucks' Bobby Portis: Out for Wednesday

Portis (wrist) won't play Wednesday against the Trail Blazers.

Kyle Kuzma (Achilles) is also out for Wednesday's game, so Pete Nance, Taurean Prince and Ousmane Dieng will have the opportunity for some extended minutes. For now, Portis should be considered questionable for Saturday's game versus the Spurs, which will be the first of a back-to-back set.

  • Julian Reese PF | WAS

    Wizards' Julian Reese: Starting Wednesday

Reese is part of the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Jazz.

Alex Sarr (toe) and Tristan Vukcevic (back) are sidelined, leaving a spot open in the starting lineup for Reese. In his four other starts this season, Reese averaged 10.3 points, 9.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.0 steals across 30.8 minutes, though those numbers are inflated by an 18-point, 20-rebound outburst.

  • Leaky Black SF | WAS

    Wizards' Leaky Black: Starting Wednesday

Black is part of the starting five for Wednesday's game against the Jazz.

Black will make his third start of the campaign Wednesday. In his first two appearances as a starter, Black averaged 13.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists across 35.0 minutes.

  • Myles Turner C | MIL

Bucks' Myles Turner: Ruled out for Wednesday

Turner (calf) is out for Wednesday's game in Portland.

Bobby Portis (wrist) and Kyle Kuzma (Achilles) will join Turner on the inactive list for Wednesday's game, leaving Milwaukee very thin up front. Jericho Sims will get a chance to start with Turner out, and there will be more minutes available for Ousmane Dieng. Turner's next chance to play will come Saturday against the Spurs.

  • Jamir Watkins SF | WAS

Wizards' Jamir Watkins: Moving to second unit

Watkins isn't part of the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Jazz.

Watkins will move back to the bench after making a spot start the last time out. Given the Wizards' lengthy injury report, expect Watkins to see plenty of run.

  • Bulls' Nick Richards: Won't return Wednesday

Richards won't return to Wednesday's game against the 76ers due to a right elbow issue, K.C. Johnson of Chicago Sports Network reports.

The severity of Richards' elbow injury isn't yet known, but with Friday's game in Oklahoma City being the first of a back-to-back set, it could be tough for Richards to return for that one. Patrick Williams started at center for the second half of Wednesday's game, so he could be in line for major minutes if Richards and Jalen Smith (calf) need to skip some games.

  • Warriors' Stephen Curry: Hasn't begun scrimmaging

The Warriors announced Wednesday that Curry (knee) has yet to participate in a scrimmage, and another update is expected to come later this week, Anthony Slater of ESPN.com reports.

Golden State indicated earlier in March that it hoped Curry would return before April. Given that the veteran point guard hasn't participated in a scrimmage, it's growing unlikely he'll reach that goal. More information should be provided in the coming days, at which point a clearer timetable for return could be revealed.
