  • Pelicans' Bryce McGowens: Not starting Saturday

    McGowens is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the 76ers.

    McGowens started in Friday's loss to Milwaukee, putting up 10 points and two steals across 30 minutes. He'll revert to his regular bench role with the return of DeAndre Jordan, who hadn't played since Oct. 29, to the first unit. McGowens is averaging 7.1 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game when playing off the bench this season.

    The veteran center hasn't seen game action since Oct. 29 but will join the starting lineup in favor of Bryce McGowens on Saturday. Over two regular-season outings (one start) thus far, Jordan has averaged 4.5 points and 5.0 rebounds in 11.5 minutes per contest.

    As expected, Yabusele will suit up after initially being listed as probable due to a left calf contusion. Over five outings (three starts) with Chicago, the big man has averaged 10.2 points and 4.4 rebounds in 24.6 minutes per contest.

    Bulls' Leonard Miller: Available vs. Detroit

    Miller (wrist) is available for Saturday's game against the Pistons.

    Miller was recalled from the G League on Saturday and will suit up in this tough matchup against Detroit, although it's unclear just how many minutes he'll see. Miller is averaging just 5.0 minutes per game in 21 appearances off the bench this season between Minnesota and Chicago.

    Suns' Dillon Brooks: Won't return Saturday

    Brooks will not return to Saturday's game against the Magic due to a left hand injury, Kellan Olson of ArizonaSports.com reports. He'll finish with five points (2-7 FG, 1-3 3Pt) and three rebounds across seven minutes.

    Brooks returned from a one-game absence due to a suspension but logged just seven minutes before heading back to the locker room. The 30-year-old forward faces a quick turnaround if he hopes to suit up in Sunday's game against Portland. If Brooks if forced to miss additional time, Grayson Allen, Ryan Dunn and Jordan Goodwin would be candidates for increased playing time.

    Heat's Dru Smith: Upgraded to probable

    Smith (calf) has been upgraded from questionable to probable ahead of Saturday's game against the Grizzlies, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

    Smith is trending in the right direction, and if nothing happens between now and the 8 p.m. ET tipoff, the fourth-year guard should be upgraded to available and should handle a bench role. Smith is averaging 6.0 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.7 assists across 56 appearances (one start) this season.

    Heat's Tyler Herro: Will play vs. Memphis

    Herro (ribs) has been upgraded to available ahead of Saturday's game against the Grizzlies, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

    Herro was likely to suit up after being deemed probable, and that'll be the case for this favorable matchup against the Grizzlies. Herro is coming off an impressive outing against the Hawks on Friday, delivering 24 points, four rebounds, three assists and one steal across 23 minutes off the bench in a 128-97 win.

    Heat's Nikola Jovic: Ruled out Saturday

    Jovic (back) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against Memphis, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

    Jovic is dealing with lower-back tightness and will miss just his second outing since Dec. 26. With the 22-year-old big man unavailable, Kel'el Ware and Simone Fontecchio are candidates see a slight bump in playing time.

    Powell (illness) is available for Saturday's game against the Grizzlies, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

    As expected, Powell will suit up in the second leg of this back-to-back set after initially being listed as probable due to an illness. The veteran swingman has appeared in just three outings this month, during which he has averaged 20.0 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.0 steals in 28.3 minutes per tilt.

  • Alex Caruso PG | OKC

    Thunder's Alex Caruso: Won't play Sunday

    Caruso has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Cleveland due to a left ankle sprain.

    The left ankle sprain is a new concern for Caruso, whose next opportunity to play will come Tuesday against Toronto. With the veteran swingman sidelined, Aaron Wiggins, Kenrich Williams and Isaiah Joe are candidates for increased playing time.
