Cavaliers' Max Strus: Drops 20 points in Game 5 win

Strus chipped in 20 points (6-8 FG, 6-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal across 36 minutes during Wednesday's 117-113 overtime win over the Pistons in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Strus delivered when it mattered most, scoring at least 20 points for just the second time this postseason, having dropped 24 points in the opening game against the Raptors. He also chipped in across all major categories, providing the Cavaliers with energy on both ends of the floor. In 12 playoff appearances, Strus has averaged 10.5 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.3 three-pointers in 26.6 minutes per contest.

  • James Harden PG | CLE

Cavaliers' James Harden: Leads Cavs to overtime win

Harden finished with 30 points (8-21 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 11-14 FT), eight rebounds, six assists, one steal and three blocks across 43 minutes in Wednesday's 117-113 win over Detroit in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Harden has had his share of struggles throughout this series. However, the 36-year-old showed up in a big way in Game 5 to lead the Cavaliers to a much-needed win. It was his highest scoring output since March 19. With Cleveland one victory away from advancing to the Eastern Conference Finals, the Pistons will try to knot things up when these clubs meet again Friday.

  • Pistons' Cade Cunningham: Scores 39 points with nine dimes

Cunningham contributed 39 points (13-27 FG, 6-10 3Pt, 7-8 FT), seven rebounds, nine assists and two steals over 48 minutes during Wednesday's Game 5 overtime loss to Cleveland in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Cunningham is now tied with Isiah Thomas for the most 30-point games in a single playoff run in Pistons franchise history, and he hit numerous clutch shots down the stretch to keep Detroit in the game. However, the Pistons came up short at home and now head back to Cleveland for a must-win Game 6 on Friday.

  • Daniss Jenkins PG | DET

Pistons' Daniss Jenkins: Starting in Game 5

Jenkins will start in Wednesday's Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals against Cleveland, Coty M. Davis of The Detroit News reports.

With Duncan Robinson (back) ruled out, Jenkins will start in Game 5. The 24-year-old started 19 times during the regular season, averaging 17.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, 7.4 assists, 0.3 blocks and 0.9 steals across 33.8 minutes in those appearances.

  • Caris LeVert SG | DET

Pistons' Caris LeVert: Available for Game 5

LeVert (heel) is available for Wednesday's Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals against Cleveland.

LeVert had a massive 24-point effort in the 112-103 loss Monday. He was listed on the injury report because of a right-heel contusion, although he is now officially cleared to suit up. With Duncan Robinson (back) ruled out, LeVert should receive all the minutes he can handle behind Daniss Jenkins, who will start in Game 5.

  • Kevin Huerter SG | DET

Pistons' Kevin Huerter: Available to play

Huerter (thigh) is available for Wednesday's Game 5 matchup of the Eastern Conference Semifinals with Cleveland.

Duncan Robinson (back) is out, so Huerter should be in the rotation, although he may have his minutes monitored in his first game back. Huerter is averaging 1.5 points and 1.5 assists in 10.6 minutes per game this postseason.

  • Pistons' Duncan Robinson: Ruled out Wednesday

Robinson (back) won't play in Wednesday's Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals against Cleveland.

Robinson has played well throughout most of this series, averaging 13.8 points, 1.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 0.3 blocks and 2.5 steals while shooting 57.7 percent from deep across 32.5 minutes. However, the 32-year-old won't suit up for Game 5 because of lower-back soreness. Without Robinson in the equation, Daniss Jenkins, Kevin Huerter (adductor) and Caris LeVert (heel) should see more work.

Kings' Keegan Murray: Undergoes ankle surgery

Murray underwent an arthroscopic procedure to remove loose bodies in his left ankle Tuesday, per James Ham of ESPN 1320 Sacramento.

Murray, who was held to a career-low 23 appearances in 2025-26, suffered multiple left ankle sprains during the season, and the hope is that the surgery will aid his recovery. The 25-year-old forward could be off the court for as many as eight weeks, but the expectation is that he'll be ready to go for the start of training camp in the fall.

Knicks' OG Anunoby: Expected to be ready for next round

Shams Charania of ESPN reports Wednesday that Anunoby (hamstring) is expected to be ready for the start of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Anunoby was limited to individual work at Wednesday's practice, but the belief is that he'll be available for Game 1 of the next round of the playoffs. With the Cavaliers and Pistons locked up at 2-2 during their Eastern Conference Semifinals series, Anunoby could have nearly a week to recuperate.

Knicks' OG Anunoby: Limited at practice

Anunoby (hamstring) did individual work at Wednesday's practice, per Stefan Bondy of The New York Post.

It sounds like Anunoby is still limited during his recovery from a right hamstring strain. With the Cavaliers and Pistons in a dogfight during their Eastern Conference Semifinals matchup, Anunoby has plenty of extra time to recover.
