Top OG Anunoby News

  • Knicks' OG Anunoby: Exits game with leg issue

Anunoby registered 24 points (9-17 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds, two assists, one block and four steals across 37 minutes during Wednesday's 108-102 victory over Philadelphia in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. However, he seemed to suffer a leg injury late in the game.

Anunoby seemed to tweak something in the back of his right leg with three minutes remaining in the match, and after subbing out, he did not return to the game. Mike Brown declined to provide an update on Anunoby's leg issue after the game, simply saying, "he looked like he was hopping," per Kristian Winfield of the New York Daily News. For now, Anunoby should be considered questionable for Game 3 in Philly on Friday.

  • Knicks' OG Anunoby: Strikes for 18 points in Game 1 win

Anunoby amassed 18 points (7-8 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, one assist and one block in 30 minutes during Monday's 137-98 win over the 76ers in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Anunoby needed only seven field-goal attempts to record 18 points in this blowout win, finishing as New York's second-leading scorer while playing just three quarters. The 28-year-old forward has been on a tear of late, scoring 17-plus points in five straight games while chipping in at least one block in each of the last six. He'll look to stay productive on both ends of the floor as the Knicks aim to take a 2-0 series lead in Game 2 on Wednesday.

  • Knicks' OG Anunoby: Tallies 29 points in win

Anunoby registered 29 points (11-14 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 3-5 FT), seven rebounds, two assists, one block and four steals over 27 minutes during Thursday's 140-89 victory over Atlanta in Game 6 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

Anunoby helped his team secure a series victory with a strong offensive performance. It was clear he was feeling good on both ends of the court, as he led the Knicks in scoring and steals while also posting a solid night on the glass. Anunoby averaged 21.5 points, 8.7 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.2 blocks across six games in the first round.

  • Knicks' OG Anunoby: Double-double Saturday

Anunoby racked up 22 points (9-16 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal in 40 minutes during Saturday's 114-98 victory over the Hawks in Game 4 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

Anunoby continued his stellar play, recording his first double-double of the playoffs while also dropping at least 22 points for the second straight game. Saturday's win now sees the two teams locked at 2-2 heading back to New York for Game 5. Anunoby will look to control both ends of the floor, as the Knicks push for an important series lead once again.

  • Knicks' OG Anunoby: Provides strong scoring boost

Anunoby produced 29 points (9-16 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 7-7 FT), nine rebounds, one assist and one steal across 37 minutes during Thursday's 109-108 loss to Atlanta in Game 3 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

Anunoby stepped up in a big way after being held in check through the first two games of the first round. He scored 12 of his 29 points from beyond the arc while hitting at a clip of 50.0 percent from deep. He also impressed at the charity stripe, where he didn't miss a shot. The 28-year-old continued his strong play on the glass and is averaging 8.3 rebounds per game through his first three appearances of the 2025-26 playoffs.

  • Knicks' OG Anunoby: Cleared to play Monday

Anunoby (ankle) is available for Monday's Game 2 of the Eastern Conference first-round series against the Hawks, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.

As expected, Anunoby will shed his probable tag due to a left ankle sprain and suit up as the Knicks look to take a 2-0 series lead. In Game 1 on Saturday, the forward totaled 18 points (6-9 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), eight rebounds and one steal across 38 minutes and shouldn't face any minutes restriction Monday.

  • Knicks' OG Anunoby: Probable for Game 2

Anunoby (ankle) is listed as probable for Monday's Game 2 of the Eastern Conference first-round playoff series against the Hawks.

Anunoby is officially on the injury report with a left ankle sprain, though the designation is likely a carryover from the injury that cost him the regular-season finale. Despite the "probable" tag, there shouldn't be much concern regarding his availability for Game 2 after he logged 38 minutes and looked plenty mobile in Saturday's series opener. The 28-year-old forward was highly effective in that win, providing 18 points and eight rebounds while playing his signature elite defense. Barring an unexpected setback, Anunoby should be back in his usual starting role as the Knicks look to take a 2-0 series lead.

  • Knicks' OG Anunoby: Efficient vs. Atlanta

Anunoby ended with 18 points (6-9 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), eight rebounds and one steal across 38 minutes during Saturday's 113-102 victory over Atlanta in Game 1 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

Anunoby didn't have an eye-popping stat line for Saturday's win, but he was effective on the defensive boards and was efficient with the few shots he took to finish as the Knicks' third-leading scorer behind Jalen Brunson (28 points) and Karl-Anthony Towns (25 points). Anunoby may be known more for his defensive prowess, so it's an added bonus for the Knicks when he can produce on the offensive side of the floor and take some pressure of the shoulders of Brunson and Towns.

  • Knicks' OG Anunoby: Available for Game 1

Anunoby (ankle) is available for Game 1 against the Hawks on Saturday.

The Knicks submitted a clean injury report ahead of the playoffs and will be at full strength. Anunoby twisted his ankle during Friday's win over the Raptors and proceeded to sit out Sunday's regular-season finale versus the Hornets, but he practiced Friday with no issues.

  • Knicks' OG Anunoby: Practices Wednesday

Anunoby (ankle) went through practice Wednesday, per Jared Schwartz of the New York Post.

Anunoby twisted his ankle during Friday's win over the Raptors and proceeded to sit out Sunday's regular-season finale versus the Hornets. New York's next contest isn't until Saturday's Game 1 matchup versus Atlanta, so Anunoby has plenty of time to recover.

  • Knicks' OG Anunoby: Ruled out for Sunday

Anunoby (ankle) won't play Sunday versus the Hornets.

Anunoby will skip New York's final regular-season game after twisting his ankle during Friday's win over the Raptors. His absence should lead to more minutes for Mohamed Diawara and Jeremy Sochan.

  • Knicks' OG Anunoby: Won't return Friday

Anunoby has been ruled out for the rest of Friday's game against the Raptors due to a left ankle injury.

Anunoby checked out of the game at the 7:30 mark in the second quarter, and the veteran forward will be sidelined for the rest of Friday's contest. He'll end his night with two points (1-4 FG, 0-3 3Pt), five rebounds and three assists over 15 minutes. It's bad timing given the proximity to the start of the playoffs, and the Knicks should provide an update on Anunoby's health once he undergoes further tests on his ankle. Mohamed Diawara, Jordan Clarkson and Landry Shamet should see more minutes in Anunoby's absence.

  • Knicks' OG Anunoby: Scores 31 points with seven treys

Anunoby ended Friday's 136-96 win over the Bulls with 31 points (9-15 FG, 7-10 3Pt, 6-6 FT), eight rebounds, two assists and one block over 30 minutes.

Anunoby tied his career high in three-point makes and finished with a team-best plus-32 differential in the blowout win. The 28-year-old veteran has been flirting with top-30 value on the season behind averages of 16.9 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 2.3 triples, 1.6 steals and 0.7 swats per contest.
