  • Norman Powell SG | MIA

Heat's Norman Powell: Won't return Saturday

Powell (illness) is out for Saturday's game against Washington, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.

Powell was able to speak to the media Friday, but he said he's still recovering from his illness and that he was "very sick." With this news, he'll have a chance to return from a four-game absence Tuesday in Toronto.

  • Noah Clowney PF | BKN

Nets' Noah Clowney: Cleared to play

Clowney (ankle) is good to go for Friday against the Hawks.

Clowney is no longer on the injury report after previously carrying a probable tag. The forward is averaging 7.6 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 18.5 minutes per game over his last eight appearances.

  • Nets' Nic Claxton: Available to play

Claxton (hand) is available for Friday's game against the Hawks.

Claxton was previously carrying a probable tag for the Nets, but he will power through issues with his wrist on top of an illness. Based on previous outings, the Nets will likely be cautious with his workload.

  • Cavaliers' Donovan Mitchell: Notches 25 points in win

Mitchell finished with 25 points (7-14 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 7-7 FT), six rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals in 34 minutes during Thursday's 118-111 win over Golden State.

The Cavaliers improved to 48-29 with the win, with Mitchell notching his 45th game with at least 25 points. Across 68 appearances, Mitchell remains on pace for a first-round finish in nine-category fantasy formats with 27.7 points, 5.7 assists, 4.5 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 3.3 three-pointers.

  • Warriors' Brandin Podziemski: Massive line in loss

Podziemski ended Thursday's 118-111 loss to Cleveland with 25 points (9-15 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 5-6 FT), four rebounds, four assists and two steals over 35 minutes.

This was one of Podziemski's best games of the season as he recorded his fourth game with at least 25 points, finishing one point shy of his season-best mark. He's been on a tear with 18.3 points, 5.9 rebounds and 4.1 assists over his last eight games, but Stephen Curry (knee) is targeting a return Sunday against Houston.

  • Evan Mobley PF | CLE

Cavaliers' Evan Mobley: Double-doubles in win

Mobley had 12 points (6-11 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 0-2 FT), 10 rebounds, five assists and one steal in 32 minutes during Thursday's 118-111 victory over the Warriors.

Mobley recorded his 26th double-double of the campaign in Thursday's win. Through 62 games this season, he's holding averages of 18.1 points, 9.0 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.8 blocks and 1.0 three-pointers in 32.1 minutes per contest.

  • Warriors' Gary Payton: Strong line off bench

Payton supplied eight points (4-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt), 12 rebounds, two assists, one block and two steals across 27 minutes during Thursday's 118-111 loss to the Cavaliers.

After missing Wednesday's game against the Spurs for injury maintenance, Payton responded with a terrific line Thursday. It's worth noting that Stephen Curry (knee) is targeting a return Sunday against Houston, so there's a chance Payton's workload decreases moving forward.

  • Warriors' Draymond Green: Nearly triple-doubles in loss

Green provided eight points (3-11 FG, 2-8 3Pt), nine rebounds, nine assists, three blocks and one steal over 35 minutes during Thursday's 118-111 loss to the Cavaliers.

Green couldn't find his rhythm from the field but managed to put together a solid fantasy line. Over his last eight games, he's averaging 9.0 points, 5.9 assists, 5.3 rebounds, 1.3 steals, 1.0 blocks and 1.5 three-pointers.

  • Knicks' Karl-Anthony Towns: Questionable for Friday

Towns is questionable for Friday's game against the Bulls with a right elbow issue.

Towns was a late addition to the injury report after the Knicks submitted a clean report the previous day. With the Bulls struggling, the Knicks may be tempted to hold Towns out as a precaution. If he sits, the Knicks could lean more on Mitchell Robinson.

  • Tre Jones PG | CHI

Bulls' Tre Jones: Expected to play

Jones (ankle) is probable for Friday's game against the Knicks.

Jones is now expected to play after previously carrying a questionable tag. Josh Giddey (hamstring) is also trending towards playing, and that could limit the workloads of Collin Sexton and Rob Dillingham.
