    The Lakers assigned James to the G League's South Bay Lakers on Thursday, Trevor Lane of LakersNation.com reports.

    James will presumably be available to play in Thursday's G League matchup against Sioux Falls. The Lakers may also elect to bring him back in time to be with the team for Friday's matchup against Brooklyn.

  • Pistons' Duncan Robinson: Ruled out vs. Pelicans

    Correcting a previous report, Robinson (hip/wrist) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Pelicans.

    Robinson was initially listed in the starting lineup, but the team released a new lineup card shortly after that listed Robinson as out for Thursday's contest. Kevin Huerter will draw the start on the wing with Robinson sidelined.

    Pistons' Kevin Huerter: Starting Thursday

    Huerter will start Thursday versus the Pelicans.

    Huerter is getting the spot-start with Duncan Robinson (hip) out, and he'll be joined in the first unit by Ausar Thompson, Tobias Harris, Daniss Jenkins and Jalen Duren. As a starter this season, Huerter has averaged 11.1 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.2 triples per contest.

    Nuggets' Aaron Gordon: Cleared to play vs. Jazz

    Gordon (hamstring) is available for Friday's game against the Jazz.

    Gordon was held out of a back-to-back Wednesday against Dallas, but he'll be available to suit up Friday night. The Arizona product is averaging 16.6 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists in his previous five matchups.

  • Pistons' Duncan Robinson: Will play Thursday

    Robinson (wrist/hip) is available and listed in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Pelicans.

    The Pistons downgraded Robinson to questionable shortly before tipoff, but the sharpshooter will ultimately gain clearance to play for the second leg of a back-to-back set. Robinson has averaged 10.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.7 three-pointers in 27.7 minutes per contest in his last six games.

  • Kings' Patrick Baldwin: Moving back to bench

    Baldwin will come off the bench Thursday night against Orlando, Sean Cunningham of Fox 40 Sacramento reports.

    Baldwin drew his first start of the season Tuesday against Charlotte and logged a season-high 28 minutes. However, he'll shift to the bench for Thursday's action with Precious Achiuwa returning to the court.

  • Pelicans' DeAndre Jordan: Starting Thursday

    Jordan is in the starting lineup for Thursday's matchup with the Pistons.

    Dejounte Murray, Herbert Jones, Saddiq Bey and Zion Williamson will join Jordan in the first unit for Thursday's game. In six starts this season, Jordan has posted averages of 3.8 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per contest.

    Cain isn't in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Kings.

    Cain drew a spot start Tuesday against the Cavs and took full advantage, as he put up 17 points in 32 minutes. However, he'll retreat to his usual bench role Thursday with Jalen Suggs back from an illness.

    Thompson (ankle) is available for Thursday's meeting with the Pelicans.

    Thompson is good to go for the second leg of a back-to-back set, so make sure you've got him active. The 23-year-old swingman has racked up 12 steals over his past three games.

    Sasser (hip) is available for Thursday's game against the Pelicans.

    Sasser is overcoming a probable designation due to a hip injury that cost him the past three contests. Sasser has averaged 7.5 points, 2.9 assists, 1.8 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 20.5 minutes per contest in his last eight games.
