  • Dylan Harper SG | SA

Spurs' Dylan Harper: Pops for 16 points in loss

Harper supplied 16 points (6-10 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT), eight rebounds, one assist and one steal in 28 minutes during Wednesday's 105-95 loss to the Knicks in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

Harper was hot early, once again providing San Antonio with a viable offensive threat off the bench. In his past three games, the impressive rookie has averaged 15.3 points and 7.0 rebounds. He continues to build a strong resume and will look to once again play a major role when the two teams meet for Game 2 on Friday.

  • Knicks' Karl-Anthony Towns: Double-doubles in Game 1 win

Towns logged 18 points (7-15 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 12 rebounds, four assists and one block across 34 minutes during Wednesday's 105-95 victory over the Spurs in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

Towns certainly held his own in the win, recording his second straight double-double while also helping to put the clamps on Victor Wembanyama. In his past nine appearances, Towns has been a picture of consistency, averaging 15.9 points, 10.2 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 1.6 three-pointers and 1.9 combined steals and blocks.

  • Josh Hart SF | NY

Knicks' Josh Hart: Game-high 15 rebounds

Hart posted three points (1-5 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), 15 rebounds, six assists, one block and four steals in 27 minutes during Wednesday's 105-95 victory over the Spurs in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

Hart struggled to get his offense going, and yet was arguably the most impactful player on the court. He led the Knicks in rebounds, assists and steals, despite playing just 27 minutes due to early foul trouble. He continues to press his claim as one of the best role players in the league, consistently chipping in across all categories. Now leading the series 1-0, New York will look to hammer home the advantage when the two teams meet again in Game 2.

  • Spurs' Victor Wembanyama: Struggles with shot in Game 1 loss

Wembanyama finished with 26 points (6-21 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 12-13 FT), 12 rebounds, two assists, one steal and three blocks over 38 minutes during Wednesday's 105-95 Game 1 loss of the NBA Finals to the Knicks.

In addition to the poor shooting, Wembanyama also committed a game-high six turnovers, and he acknowledged after the game that it wasn't his best performance. "I'm gonna figure it out," said Wembanyama per Spurs' reporter, Tom Petrini. "I was bad tonight. It's not more complicated than that." The 22-year-old will look to bounce back in Game 2 on Friday.

  • Knicks' Jalen Brunson: Guides Knicks to Game 1 win

Brunson put up 30 points (12-31 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds and two assists across 37 minutes during Wednesday's 105-95 Game 1 win of the Finals in San Antonio.

Brunson appeared to tweak his right knee during the first quarter and later twisted an ankle in the second, but he powered through both issues and said afterward that he'll be fine. The three-time All-Star delivered in the clutch for New York, scoring 13 of his 30 points in the fourth quarter, including a tough 14-foot pull-up jumper with 30 seconds remaining to help seal the victory. The Knicks are now 6-0 this postseason when Brunson scores at least 30 points.

  • Knicks' Jalen Brunson: Returns to Game 1

Brunson (leg) has returned to Wednesday's Game 1 of the Finals versus San Antonio, Ramona Shelbourne of ESPN.com reports.

  • Knicks' Jalen Brunson: Exits to locker room

Brunson (undisclosed) exited Game 1 of the NBA Finals versus San Antonio on Wednesday, Chris Mannix of SI reports.

Brunson exited the contest in the first quarter. Although nothing official has been reported regarding his condition, he left the game after appearing to tweak his right knee. If he doesn't return, Jose Alvarado could see more action the rest of the way.

  • Knicks' Mitchell Robinson: Cleared to play in Game 1

Robinson (finger) will play in Game 1 of the NBA Finals versus San Antonio on Wednesday, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.

Robinson is dealing with a fractured metacarpal in his right hand, though it won't keep him off the floor to begin the series. The 28-year-old has averaged 5.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, 0.3 assists, 0.6 blocks and 0.5 steals across 14.2 minutes throughout the postseason. Although Robinson hasn't seen consistent action during the playoffs, he may need to be more involved moving ahead if the Knicks have trouble keeping Victor Wembanyama and company off the glass.

  • Knicks' Mitchell Robinson: Expected to play

Robinson (finger) is expected to play in Game 1 of the NBA Finals against the Spurs on Wednesday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

Robinson fully practiced Tuesday and appears ready to reprise his role as the backup center. Although he's listed as questionable, there's been a lot of optimism about his status for the better part of a week.

  • Knicks' Mitchell Robinson: Iffy for Game 1

Robinson (finger) is questionable for Wednesday's Game 1 of the NBA Finals against the Spurs, Stefan Bondy of The New York Post reports.

Robinson sustained a broken right pinky finger Thursday and underwent surgery, though he participated in Tuesday's practice and was seen shooting with the injured hand, according to Joe Vardon of The Athletic. Shams Charania of ESPN reported Friday that the big man is pushing to play in Game 1, and the Knicks will likely evaluate him closer to tipoff before making a final decision on his status. If Robinson is unable to suit up, Ariel Hukporti and Mohamed Diawara would be candidates to enter the rotation behind Karl-Anthony Towns.
