Though he drove his team down the field for a touchdown on the opening drive and found himself up 14-0 after a quick turnover on the ensuing kickoff, Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton spent most of the first half Week 3 against the Packers just trying to stay upright.
He was sacked only twice, one of which resulted in a fumble, but he struggled to get the ball off against the Packers' pass rush, completing 7 of 12 passes for 67 yards and an interception.
Maybe it was because disruptive linebacker Clay Matthews left with a hamstring injury in the third quarter, but Dalton was a different player after his team fell behind 30-14 in the second half, finishing the game 20 for 28 with 235 yards and two touchdowns -- a 20-yarder to A.J. Green and an 11-yarder to Marvin Jones -- to lead his team to a 34-30 win. It was Dalton's second two-touchdown game of the season, though he did commit two turnovers in both.
He'll look to have a more even performance Week 4 at Cleveland.
