Mayfield was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice with a chest injury, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Mayfield had to be removed from Sunday's blowout loss to the Steelers while struggling through what had previously been labeled as a rib injury, but the Browns reportedly think the quarterback is on track to suit up at Cincinnati in Week 7. If the signal-caller is able to upgrade to practicing in full Thursday or Friday, any lingering doubts about his availability will dissipate.
