Thursday's DNP represents a downgrade for James after he was a limited practice participant Wednesday. However, the Chargers' practice report lists the star safety as being sidelined due to both a hamstring injury and "rest," so it's unclear how serious the hamstring issue is. Los Angeles' practice report Friday should shed more light on James' chance of suiting up in Week 4.
