Werner was released by the Colts on Tuesday.
The 24th overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, Werner didn't even make it to the final season of his rookie contract, notching just 81 tackles and 6.5 sacks in 38 games the past three years. Veteran outside linebackers Trent Cole and Robert Mathis may still be able to provide a decent rush on passing downs, but there's little question that the Colts need an infusion of young talent at the position.
