Las Vegas designated Carrier (pectoral) for return from injured reserve Wednesday.
Carrier sidelined since early October, but he's now been cleared to return to practice. The Raiders have a 21-day window to evaluate him for a potential return to the 53-man roster. If activated at some point, Carrier would serve mainly in a blocking role at tight end.
