Sanford agreed to terms on a one-year deal to rejoin the Saints, NFL Network's Rand Getlin reports.
Sanford started 41 games for the Vikings from 2011 to 2013, but he's mostly just been a backup and special teams contributor with New Orleans the past two seasons. He may have to compete for a spot on the roster, as Jairus Byrd and Kenny Vaccaro are locked in as the starting safeties.
