Heath was added to the Saints' practice squad Saturday and was elevated to the active roster ahead of Sunday's Week 1 matchup against the Packers, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
Heath was released by the Saints on Friday, but he'll rejoin the team a day later. He'll provide depth in the secondary during Sunday's season opener before he attempts to make an impression with the team's practice squad.
