Every week I will give you facts that you need to know about every matchup in the NFL to help you set your lineup for the highest probability of winning.
Only two teams are off this week (Dallas and the Rams), so it's time to start loading up your bench with high-upside options for the playoff push. We have a lot to get to, so let's get right into the facts.
Redskins at Eagles, Sun., 1 p.m. ET
• Robert Griffin III was good RG3
in Week 10, completing 24 of his 37 passes for 281 yards and three
touchdowns while adding 44 yards on the ground. He had 329 yards and two
scores in Week 1 against the Eagles, but Philly has not given up
multiple passing scores in four straight games. Still, the Eagles have
allowed more than 300 yards passing in back-to-back games and in seven
of 10 total on the season. RG3 has eight touchdown passes in three
career starts against the Birds.
• Alfred Morris has received 20-plus carries and rushed for 100 yards in
each of the last two games. He has 90-plus yards in four straight games
and has at least 13 Fantasy points in four of his last five games.
• Pierre Garcon has seven catches and 100-plus yards in each of his last
two games as well. He finally got back into the end zone in Week 10 and
now has five-plus catches in every single game with two total scores on
the season.
• The Eagles are allowing a league-high 221 yards and
30.4 Fantasy points per game to opposing receivers this year. Four
receivers have topped 100 yards in the last six games against Philly.
•
Jordan Reed has six-plus catches and
60-plus yards in three of his last four games. He has two touchdowns and
is averaging nearly 11 Fantasy points per game during that span. The
Eagles have allowed only one tight end touchdown all year, and it came
last week against Green Bay.
• Nick Foles has thrown 136 passes this year and has tossed 16
touchdowns without throwing an interception. He has at least three
touchdown passes in three of his last four starts and has topped 28
Fantasy points in all three. The 'Skins have allowed eight passing
scores (at least two in each game) and an average of 23.67 Fantasy
points per game to quarterbacks over their last three games.
• LeSean McCoy ran for 155 yards in Week 10, his best since Week 3 this
year, but he still has not scored a rushing touchdown in five straight
games. The Redskins have allowed eight running back rushing scores in
their last five games and McCoy ran for 184 yards and a touchdown
against them in the season opener.
• Riley Cooper now has 100 yards with a touchdown in three of Foles'
four starts and has not been held below 88 yards in any game with Foles
under center. Over the last two weeks, Cooper has eight catches for 241
yards and five touchdowns. An opposing secondary receiver has scored in
three straight against Washington.
• The 'Skins have given up
multiple receiver scores in two of their last three games and are giving
up 27.3 points per game to the position during that span. DeSean Jackson has a touchdown grab in four of the five games with
Foles under center and has four total in his four starts.
• I know
you saw John Carlson catch seven passes
for 98 yards and a score against Washington, so Brent Celek and Zach Ertz are worth
a flier in a deep league. Tight ends have 60 yards or a touchdown in
eight of the Redskins nine games this year.
Browns at Bengals, Sun., 1 p.m. ET
• Thanks to a Hail Mary, Andy Dalton
now has thrown for multiple scores in four of his last five games. He
was held to just 206 yards with no touchdowns and one interception (five
Fantasy points) by the Browns back in Week 4. However, the Browns have
given up multiple passing scores in four straight games (11 total) and
the opposing quarterback has produced at least 24 Fantasy points in
every single one of them (27.3 points per game).
• Giovanni Bernard has 90-plus total yards with a touchdown in two
straight and three of his last five games. He had 75 total yards on 16
touches against the Browns in their first meeting this year. He scored
as a pass catcher in Week 10 and the Browns have given up two receiving
scores to backs in their last three games.
• BenJarvus Green-Ellis has just one rushing score in his last seven games
and has been held below 40 yards rushing in five of his last eight. The
Browns have allowed only one rushing score in their last four games and
are giving up 80 yards rushing per game on 3.5 yards per carry.
• An
opposing secondary receiver has scored in each of the last three games
against the Browns, with the opposing No. 2 receiver netting three
scores over the three weeks. Marvin Jones
(or even Mohammed Sanu) could start a
new touchdown streak in Week 11.
• A.J. Green has 100 yards receiving in five straight games. He had
seven catches for 51 yards in his first meeting with Joe Haden and no opposing No. 1 receiver has gotten to even 90
yards against him this year.
• With Jason Campbell at quarterback, opposing Fantasy defenses are
averaging just 6.5 points per game against the Browns.
• No
quarterback has topped 14 Fantasy points against the Bengals in three
straight games, including Joe Flacco,
who threw two scores against them last week. Those are the only two
passing scores given up by the Bengals over the last three games.
Campbell has thrown for five touchdowns in his two starts with the
Browns and has produced 20-plus points while finishing in the Top 12 at
his position in both games.
• The Bengals have not allowed a running
back to score against them in six straight games. Chris Ogbonnaya, who scored as a pass catcher back in Week 4, was the
last running back to find the end zone against them.
• Only three
receivers have produced 10 Fantasy points against Cincy in the last
seven games. The good news for Josh Gordon
is that opposing top target has three touchdowns in the last four games
against the Bengals and is averaging 13.3 points per game during that
span.
• Opposing No. 2 receivers have just one touchdown against
Cincy all year, third fewest in the NFL.
• With Campbell at
quarterback, Jordan Cameron has seen
only nine targets and has five catches for 85 yards in two games.
Cameron, who had 91 yards and a score in his first game against the
Bengals, is the only tight end to reach 50 yards against them all year.
A tight end has scored on Cincy in three of the last five games.
Ravens at Bears, Sun., 1 p.m. ET
• Joe Flacco has thrown for
multiple scores in three of his last four games, but has just two games
of 20-plus points during that span. Three of the last five quarterbacks
to face the Bears have tossed multiple scores and produced 23-plus
points. The other two combined for one score, four interceptions and 12
Fantasy points. You can do better.
• Ray Rice is in a massive slump and it continued against the
Bengals, as he was held to 30 yards rushing on 18 carries. He now has 47
yards rushing on his last 29 carries (1.6 yards per carry). Rice has
rushed for more than 50 yards in just one game this year and has found
the end zone in one of his last seven starts.
• Running backs have
rushed for 123-plus yards in four straight games against the Bears.
During that span, they are averaging 149 yards rushing per game on 5.5
yards per carry. Backs have scored seven touchdowns and are averaging
25.3 points per game.
• In Week 10, Torrey Smith found the end zone for the second time this season. The
Bears have given up seven scores to the opposing No. 1 receiver this
year, third most in the NFL. Three different top receivers have gone for
multiple scores against them already this season and Charles Tillman is now out for the year.
• The Ravens have given up
more than 18 points to a quarterback only once since Week 1. They have
allowed five passing scores over the last two weeks, however, and four
of the last five quarterbacks to face them have produced 18 or more
Fantasy points. Josh McCown threw for
274 yards and two scores in his only start this season and has four
passing scores in less than two full games of action.
• Alshon Jeffery has 100 yards receiving or a touchdown (10-plus points)
in five of his last six games. Only A.J. Green has more 100-yard games
than Jeffery this year and Alshon is coming off of a career high 18
targets in Week 10 when he caught nine passes for 114 yards and had a
touchdown overturned on a replay. The Ravens have allowed a 100-yard
receiver in four of their last five games.
• Brandon Marshall has 100 yards with a touchdown in each of his last two
games and now has six scores in his last five games.
• Martellus Bennett has not produced 40 yards receiving in three straight
games and has a total of nine catches for 72 yards and one touchdown
during that span. The Ravens have allowed two tight end scores in their
last three games, but are giving up 33 yards per game to the position
during that span.
Jets at Bills, Sun., 1 p.m. ET
• Geno Smith threw for 331 yards
with two touchdowns and ran for 14 yards and a score en route to a
28-point day against the Bills in Week 3. Buffalo had allowed multiple
passing scores in seven of its first eight games, but has allowed just
one in the last two games combined. In fact, only two of the last seven
quarterbacks to face Buffalo have produced 20-plus Fantasy points and
four have been held to 15 or fewer.
• Chris Ivory has rushed for more than 100 yards in two of his last
three games. Buffalo is allowing 103.8 yards rushing per game to backs
this year -- ninth most in the NFL -- but they have given up only two
rushing scores all year to backs, fourth fewest in the NFL. Le'Veon Bell racked up 96 total yards and a score against them in Week
10.
• Santonio Holmes is
expected to return to action for the first time since Week 4. In Week 3,
he torched the Bills for 154 yards and a touchdown, which could be
tougher with Stephon Gilmore back in
action this time around. The Bills have allowed a receiver touchdown in
every game but one this year and an opposing receiver has 10 or more
Fantasy points in nine of their 10 games this year as well.
• The
Bills have allowed three tight end scores in their last four games (two
to Jimmy Graham), but only Greg Olsen back in Week 2 has reached 50 yards against them all
year. Kellen Winslow returns but is not
a great play this week.
• Only two running back groups have rushed
for more than 65 yards against the Jets all year long. Not a single one
has topped 90 yards as the Jets boast the league's toughest run defense
at 65 yards per game and 3.1 yards per carry to running backs this year.
The Jets are allowing only 11.8 points per game to backs -- second
fewest in the NFL -- and only two running back groups all year have
produced more than 11 Fantasy points in a game against the Jets.
•
Back in Week 3, the Bills backs combined for 11 Fantasy points (10 for Fred Jackson and one for C.J. Spiller).
Jackson has not reached 10 Fantasy points in two straight games and
Spiller has done it just twice all year long. This could be considered
an early bye week for the Buffalo running backs.
• Steve Johnson caught three passes for 48 yards against the Steelers
in Week 10 but did see a team-high 10 targets. He is averaging over nine
targets per game with E.J. Manuel under
center and had six catches for 86 yards in Week 3 against the Jets. The
opposing No. 1 receiver has not scored against the Jets since Week 4 and
Johnson is banged up, so make sure he is good to go before you even
consider him as a No. 3 receiver.
• Over the last five games, tight
ends have scored four times against the Jets, topped 80 yards four
times, 100 yards three times and are averaging 13.6 Fantasy points per
game. Scott Chandler had five catches
for 79 yards and a score against them back in Week 3 and is a nice
sleeper this week.
• Seven of the last eight defenses to face the
Bills have produced 10 or more Fantasy points and opposing defenses are
averaging 14.5 Fantasy points per game during that span.
Raiders at Texans, Sun., 1 p.m. ET
• Terrelle Pryor has just one
passing touchdown in his last four starts and has not topped 16 Fantasy
points in any of them, despite rushing for 275 yards and two touchdowns
in those four games. In fact, over his last 112 pass attempts, he has no
touchdowns and eight interceptions. The Texans have allowed multiple
passing scores in each of their last two games and three of the last
four, with eight total being thrown on them during that run. Even with
that being said, only two of the last eight quarterbacks to face the
Texans have produced more than 20 Fantasy points.
• Rashad Jennings was very solid against the Giants in Week 10 as he ran
for 88 yards on 20 carries and added 19 yards on two catches. It was his
second straight game with more than 100 total yards and his third on the
year. The Texans have allowed only one running back touchdown in their
last four games, but they have give up over 100 total yards to backs in
every one of them (124.5 total yards per game on average). If Jennings
starts again, you can flex him, and the same is true for Darren McFadden if he returns.
• Denarius Moore has not scored in three straight games and has been held
below 50 yards in two of them. T.Y. Hilton
is the only outside receiver to top 10 Fantasy points against the Texans
this year and is the only opposing No. 1 receiver to score on them.
After the Hilton blow up in Week 9, the Texans held Michael Floyd and Larry Fitzgerald to
54 combined yards in Week 10.
• Case Keenum has thrown for three touchdowns in back-to-back games
and now has seven total in his three starts. Nick Foles, who threw for seven scores against the Raiders in Week
9, is the only quarterback to toss multiple scores or top 13 Fantasy
points against the Raiders in their last four games. Alex Smith, Ben Roethlisberger and Eli Manning combined for 29 Fantasy points in those other three
games, 30 fewer than Foles had in Week 9 by himself.
• Ben Tate was the main man against the tough Cardinals in Week 10,
carrying the ball 15 times for 56 yards and adding three catches for
eight yards. It will be much easier this week against the Raiders, who
just gave up 115 yards and a touchdown to Andre Brown of the Giants. Oakland has allowed a running back to
score in seven straight games and the opposing primary ball carrier has
at least 10 points in every one of those games.
• Andre Johnson has five touchdowns in the last two games with Keenum
at quarterback and two have come in the red zone! The opposing No. 1
receiver has 80 yards or a touchdown in seven of nine games against the
Raiders this year.
• The Raiders have allowed an opposing secondary
receiver to score and produce at least 11 Fantasy points in three
straight and four of the last five games. DeAndre Hopkins led the Texans with 11 targets in Week 10 and caught
six of them for 69 yards. He has at least 50 yards in every game with
Keenum (with one touchdown) and his targets have increased in each of
the last three weeks.
• I'm not sure you can trust the Texans
defense, which has just one game of 10-plus points in its last five, but
the Raiders have produced 11-plus points for opposing defenses in four
straight games with an average of 18.5 points per game.
Lions at Steelers, Sun., 1 p.m. ET
• Matthew Stafford has produced
multiple scores in every game but one this year and has thrown three or
more touchdowns in three of his last four games. Only two quarterbacks
have topped 20 Fantasy points or thrown for multiple touchdowns against
the Steelers all year, but Tom Brady did
light them up for 432 yards, four scores and 41 Fantasy points two weeks
ago.
• Despite slowing down the Bills in Week 10, the Steelers have
given up 367 yards and five touchdowns rushing to running backs in their
last three games. Reggie Bush has rushed
for 90-plus in back-to-back games and should be able to stay hot.
• Calvin Johnson has five scores in his last five games, which makes the
fact that he had five touchdowns in all of 2012 all the more
unbelievable.
• Even if Nate Burleson
returns this week (or if he doesn't) neither Nate nor Kris Durham are recommended plays against the Steelers. Receivers
have scored in only one of the last five games against Pittsburgh in
2013.
• Brandon Pettigrew is
coming off of a season-high 70 yards against the Bears in Week 10, but
will need to score to have relevance against the Steelers. Pittsburgh
has allowed a tight end to score in three of its last four games, but
only Rob Gronkowski has topped 60 yards
against them since Week 2.
• Four straight quarterbacks and five of
the last six have thrown for multiple scores and produced 20-plus points
against the Lions. Quarterbacks are averaging 2.2 touchdown passes and
21.7 Fantasy points per game during that span. Big Ben has been at his
best in shootouts, so he has a chance to light it up against the high
octane Lions.
• The Lions have not allowed 100 total yards, a
touchdown or 10 Fantasy points to running backs in three straight games.
During that span, they are giving up an average of just 73 total yards
and 7.0 Fantasy points per game to the position.
• Le'Veon Bell has 99 total yards or a touchdown in four straight games
and is averaging 11.5 points per game during that span. He had an
impressive 96 total yards and a score against the Bills last week, so he
is still a viable option even against a surging Detroit run defense.
•
Start Antonio Brown as always (he leads
the NFL with 67 catches) against the Lions, who have allowed 32 Fantasy
points and multiple scores to receivers in three straight games and five
of the last six. Over the last six games, receivers are averaging 208
yards, 1.8 touchdowns and a league-high 34.7 Fantasy points per game.
•
Emmanuel Sanders busted out last week,
but he could get back on track this week. The opposing No. 2 receiver
has scored or topped 100 yards in six straight games against this
Detroit defense.
• Jerricho Cotchery
has scored in each of the last two games and leads the Steelers
receivers with six on the year. He is a sneaky daily league play after
catching nine of his last 10 targets for 127 yards and four scores over
the last two games.
Cardinals at Jaguars, Sun., 1 p.m. ET
• Cecil Shorts has scored in just
one game all year and has not topped 80 yards receiving since Week 3. He
is still a solid PPR receiver due to his high target volume (although he
only saw four last week), but has a tough task with Patrick Peterson in Week 11. Only Andre and Calvin Johnson have scored PP this year, but the opposing top target
has 12-plus in each of the last two against Arizona.
• Maurice Jones-Drew did get you a touchdown last week, but it will be
tough to repeat against the Cardinals in Week 11. Only Frank Gore and Marshawn Lynch have
reached 90 yards on the ground against the Cards this year. Arizona has
only allowed two running backs to score on them this year and they were
Lynch and Gore's running buddy, Kendall Hunter.
•
For the year, the Cardinals are giving up just 71.1 yards rushing per
game to backs -- third fewest in the NFL -- and they give up the fourth
fewest Fantasy points at 12.2 per game.
• The Cardinals allow the
most yards (85), touchdowns (1.0) and Fantasy points per game (13.8) to
tight ends. Marcedes Lewis led the Jags
with six targets last week and is looking for his first score this year.
•
Six of the last seven quarterbacks (including Ryan Fitzpatrick in relief of Jake Locker
last week) to face the Jags have produced multiple touchdowns and no
quarterback has been below 17 Fantasy points against them during that
span. Quarterbacks are averaging 26.5 points per game against the Jags
over those last seven and they have given up a league-high four rushing
touchdowns to quarterbacks (three in the last two weeks). Carson Palmer won't run one in, but he has tossed multiple scores in
each of his last two games.
• Prior to Week 10, running backs had
multiple touchdowns and 30-plus Fantasy points against the Jags in three
straight games. They held the Titans to just 105 total yards, but it was
an odd game with Jacksonville up 20-7 early in the third quarter.
•
For the year, Jacksonville has allowed 100-plus running back yards a
league-high six times and no team has allowed more running back yards
per game than the Jags 121 this year.
• Andre Ellington played 31 snaps in Week 10 and produced 73 total
yards on 13 touches. Rashard Mendenhall
played 28 snaps and had 51 total yards on 14 touches. I want more
Ellington, but the kid does have 70-plus total yards in four of his last
five games.
• Wide receivers have not scored in two straight games
against the Jags, but I am fine going with both Larry Fitzgerald and Michael Floyd
(or Andre Roberts, who had five catches
for 72 yards and a touchdown last week if Floyd is out). Fitz has scored
in every game with seven or more targets this year and has not scored in
any game with six or fewer. An opposing secondary receiver has scored in
three of the last five games against the Jags.
• Jacksonville has
allowed a tight end to score in six of its last seven games and has
given up eight total during that span. The Jags give up the second most
points per game to tight ends on the year (11.3) and Rob Housler just scored against the Texans and has at least 50
yards receiving in two of his last three games.
• The Cards defense
is hot, with 37 Fantasy points in their last two games. The Jags have
produced 10-plus for every opposing defense this year and 14-plus in
seven of nine games total.
Falcons at Buccaneers, Sun., 1 p.m. ET
• Matt Ryan now has just three
touchdowns and seven picks in his last three games. He set his season
low for passing yardage for the second straight week in Week 10 when the
Seahawks held him to 172 yards. He should get healthy against the Bucs,
who he torched for 273 yards and three scores back in Week 7. The Bucs
have given up at least three quarterback scores and 28 Fantasy points to
the position in four of their last five games. Even Ryan Tannehill threw two touchdowns and had 19 Fantasy points, which
was the worst quarterback performance of the last five against the Bucs.
•
Since returning from his injury, Steven Jackson
has rushed 33 times for 74 yards (2.2 yards per carry) and has nine
catches for 35 yards (3.9 yards per catch). He has 109 total yards in
three games and has been dreadful to say the least. The Bucs have given
up one running back rushing touchdown all year and have held the
opponent's running backs to fewer than 80 yards in three of the last
four and 30 or fewer in two the last four.
• Roddy White returned to action in Week 10 and played 56 of 58 snaps
and ran 43 of 44 routes. He was held to only one catch for 20 yards and
will face off with Darrelle Revis in
Week 11 most likely. The last three opposing No. 1 receivers to face the
Bucs have totaled just 86 yards.
• Harry Douglas still played every snap and ran every route in Week 10
with White back. He led the team with eight targets and caught seven of
them, but they went for only 49 yards. Douglas had 149 and a touchdown
in Week 7 against the Bucs and has at least 80 yards receiving in three
of his last four.
• Tony Gonzalez
has been limited to three or fewer catches, 30 or fewer yards and
without a touchdown in three of his last four games, including Week 7
against the Bucs. Tampa has not allowed 50 yards to a tight end since
Week 2 and has given up just one touchdown during that span.
• Mike Glennon will rebound in Week 11 against an Atlanta defense that
has allowed multiple quarterback scores in every game this year and
multiple passing scores in eight out of nine. Glennon himself put up 256
yards and two scores against the Falcons in Atlanta back in Week 7 en
route to a Top 12 finish at the quarterback spot and 21 Fantasy points.
•
The Falcons have allowed 100 yards rushing, a touchdown and 20-plus
Fantasy points to running backs in three straight games. Brian Leonard (20 carries for 56 yards) and Bobby Rainey (eight for 45 and a touchdown) will split the backfield
duties for the Bucs and are both solid flex options.
• Atlanta has
allowed multiple receiver scores in three of its last four games and has
given up 13 receiver scores, second most in the NFL. Vincent Jackson smoked the Falcons for 138 yards and two touchdowns on
10 catches back in Week 7. He has just 39 yards in his last two games
against the tough Seahawk and Dolphin pass defenses, but will bounce
back.
• Timothy Wright had
only two catches for 15 yards back in Week 7, but has at least nine
Fantasy points in three of his last five games. His two bad games have
been one-point efforts, so he comes with some risk. To be fair, when he
has received four or more targets, Wright is averaging 8.5 Fantasy
points per game. When less than four, he averages one point per game.
Only one tight end in the last four has topped 60 yards or scored
against the Falcons.
Chargers at Dolphins, Sun., 4:05 p.m. ET
• Philip Rivers has thrown for
multiple passing scores in only one of his last four games. Miami has
not allowed a quarterback to produce 10 Fantasy points in five straight
games, let alone sniff 20. In that run, the Dolphins have allowed two
passing scores and have intercepted seven passes.
• Ryan Mathews only played 26 snaps in Week 10, but ran 14 times for
59 yards and a score. He has 10-plus Fantasy points in four of his last
five full games.
• Danny Woodhead
scored for the fourth time in his last six games in Week 10, but failed
to reach 70 total yards for the first time since Week 2. Still, he has
at least four catches in every game since the season opener and Miami
has been extremely generous to backs.
• Miami has allowed at least 17
Fantasy points and a running back touchdown in eight straight games. Six
of the last seven running back groups to face Miami has produced at
least 22 Fantasy points and Miami has given up 441 yards and five scores
rushing (77 Fantasy points) in the last three games alone. Mike James, Brian Leonard and Bobby Rainey just combined for 170 total yards and a touchdown for 22
points on Monday Night Football.
• Keenan Allen has at least six catches, 100 yards and a touchdown in
three of his last five games. He has seven catches for 108 yards in the
other two. Miami enters Week 11 having allowed only one receiver
touchdown this year, which is the lowest number in the league.
• Antonio Gates has not scored in five straight games, but he does have
two games of 60-plus yards mixed in there. Still, it is a disappointing
run for Gates, who takes on a Miami defense that has not allowed a
single tight end score or six Fantasy points to the position in its last
five games.
• Peyton Manning
threw for four scores and had 35 Fantasy points against the Chargers in
Week 10. Prior to that, three straight quarterbacks -- including RG3 and Andrew Luck -- failed to throw a single touchdown or produce more than
10 Fantasy points. Ryan Tannehill still
does not have a single 20-point game this season.
• Lamar Miller had 20-plus touches and 110-plus total yards in the
prior two games entering Week 10. He had seven carries for nine yards
and had two catches for nine yards on Monday night against the Bucs. The
Chargers have allowed only one running back group to score on them all
year and only one team has more than 85 running back rushing yards in
their last six games.
• Mike Wallace
has not scored in seven straight games and it has been six straight for Brian Hartline. The Chargers have allowed seven scores to opposing
No. 1 receivers this year.
• Five of the last seven passing scores
thrown by Tannehill have gone to his slot receiver. Three to the now
injured Brandon Gibson and two this
past week to Rishard Matthews. Matthews
had two catches for 24 yards in his first start, but exploded in Week 10
with 11 catches (14 targets) for 120 yards and two scores against the
Bucs.
• The Chargers have allowed 24 Fantasy points to receivers in
three straight games and seven of the last eight. For the year, they
allow the second most yards (210) and fifth most Fantasy points (26.4)
per game to receivers.
49ers at Saints, Sun., 4:25 p.m. ET
• Colin Kaepernick has thrown for
more than 200 yards once since Week 1 and has only one passing touchdown
in his last three games. He does have three rushing scores in the last
three games and has 19-plus Fantasy points in three of the last four as
well. However, when his running is contained like it was against
Carolina, he can be a massive bust and finished with only two Fantasy
points in Week 10. 'Kap had 231 yards with one score, one interception
and ran for 27 yards and a score in his only meeting with the Saints
last year.
• In 2013, the Saints have been the third toughest defense
on quarterbacks, allowing just 12.5 Fantasy points per game. Since Week
1, only two quarterbacks have topped 11 Fantasy points and only Jay Cutler (26 points) has thrown multiple scores or topped 15
Fantasy points. No quarterback has rushed for 45 yards against New
Orleans and only Geno Smith has rushed
in a touchdown against them. If Vernon Davis
is not 100 percent from his concussion, 'Kap could really struggle this
week.
• Anquan Boldin does not
have a touchdown catch in five straight games and has just one in his
last eight. He has eclipsed 75 yards receiving in just one of those
games as well.
• Mario Manningham
ran 30 of the team's 32 routes and caught three of his team-high six
targets for 30 yards. The Saints have not allowed 100 yards to receivers
in either of the last two games and only one receiver has topped 10
Fantasy points against them in the last four games.
• You can count
on Frank Gore this week. The Saints have
allowed a running back to score 10-plus Fantasy points in six straight
games. They have also given up a running back touchdown in four straight
games and six of the last seven, with seven total scores allowed during
that span.
• Drew Brees has
thrown for at least 332 yards and multiple scores in every home game
this year. In his five home games, Brees has thrown a ridiculous 18
touchdown passes. He threw for 267 yards and three scores against the
49ers last year.
• Pierre Thomas
has at least 80 total yards in five straight games and 90-plus in four
of them. Thomas is coming off of his best game of the year, 111 total
yards and two scores on 24 touches against the Cowboys. Thomas has at
least seven catches in each of his last two games and three of his last
five.
• Darren Sproles was back
to form in Week 10 with seven catches for 76 yards and a touchdown (he
added 12 yards and a score rushing as well) against the Cowboys.
• Mark Ingram also had a career day against Dallas in Week 10 (quite
the theme here) as he ran 14 times for 145 yards and a touchdown against
the hapless defense.
• The 49ers have allowed only two running back
rushing scores since Week 3, but they have given up at least 14 running
back points in five straight games (15.3 per game).
• Marques Colston finally came to life in Week 10 with a season-best
seven catches for 107 yards and a touchdown. It was his first game with
more than 20 yards since Week 5 and while it was the Cowboys, hopefully
it is a sign of things to come. Colston did score against the 49ers last
year, but had only 36 yards on four catches.
• Kenny Stills has a touchdown and at least 12 Fantasy points in three
of his last four games. He has not received more than five targets in
any of those games, but is leading the NFL with a 23 yards-per-catch
average. Stills is also the league leader at 13.5 yards and 2.1 Fantasy
points per target.
• The 49ers have allowed only three receiver
scores and three 10-point receivers since Week 1.
• Jimmy Graham played only 33 of 84 snaps in Week 10 as he continues to
battle through his foot injury. He did catch all five of his targets for
59 yards but did not score against the 'Boys. The 49ers have given up
just one tight end score in their last five games and are allowing just
4.6 points per game to the position during that span.
Packers at Giants, Sun., 4:25 p.m. ET
• Eddie Lacy was held to 84 total
yards in Week 10, but had 24 carries and 26 total touches. He has 22
carries in six straight games and has 100 total yards with a touchdown
in three of his last four. The Giants have allowed only one running back
rushing score in their last six games, but Rashad Jennings did have 109 total yards against them for the Raiders
in Week 10. Prior to that game, however, the Giants held Jamaal Charles, Matt Forte, Adrian Peterson and LeSean McCoy
twice all under 70 yards rushing.
• Jordy Nelson (10 targets) and James Jones
(seven targets) played every snap and ran every route for the Packers
but one in Week 10 and are clearly the top two options. Jordy just
missed a touchdown in this game and I will continue to endorse him as a
weekly play.
• Jarrett Boykin
ran 38 of the team's 48 routes in Week 10 and saw a team-high 13
targets. He caught eight of them and led the Pack with 112 yards. Boykin
now has 80-plus yards in three of his last four games.
• The Giants
have not allowed a receiver to score or exceed six Fantasy points in
three straight games, so keep your expectations realistic for the Pack
with Scott Tolzien at quarterback.
• Eli Manning has multiple passing scores in just one of his last
eight games. The Pack has allowed 500 yards, five touchdowns and an
average of 26 Fantasy points per game to Josh McCown (24) and Nick Foles
(28) the last two weeks. Still, it is tough to trust Eli right now.
• Andre Brown "eased" back into action with 31 carries for 115 yards
and a touchdown in his 2013 debut. Adrian Peterson
(22 points), Matt Forte (23) and LeSean McCoy (15) have all had their way against the Green Bay run
defense the last three weeks. In that span, running backs have
accumulated 502 total yards (389 rushing) with three touchdowns and 65
Fantasy points.
• Victor Cruz
has not scored in five straight games and has been held below 70 yards
receiving in four of them. He does not have a 10-point Fantasy day
during that run.
• Hakeem Nicks
has not scored in 12 straight games and has been below six Fantasy
points in five of his last seven.
• Rueben Randle has scored in four of his last five games for the Giants
with five total scores during that span. He could very well be a
touchdown or bust, however, as Randle has just 90 yards receiving in his
last three combined. The Packers have allowed five receiver touchdowns
in their last two games alone.
• Defenses have scored 11 points in
each of the last two against the Rodgers-less Packers. The Giants have
allowed just one offensive touchdown in their last 13 quarters and it
came on a five-yard drive following a Giants turnover. The G-Men have
scored 13, 16 and 18 Fantasy points in their last three games, so they
are absolutely a good defense to play in Week 11.
Vikings at Seahawks, Sun., 4:25 p.m. ET
• Adrian Peterson has scored in
three straight games with four scores during that run. Last year in a
trip to Seattle, AP ran 17 times for 182 yards and two scores, and that
was a much better version of the Seattle run defense. Even with Steven Jackson running backwards, the Hawks have still allowed 400
yards rushing to running backs in the last three games alone. They have
not allowed a rusher to score in three straight, but AP can punch one in.
•
John Carlson was the star against the
'Skins on Thursday night as he caught seven passes for 98 yards and a
score. Only two tight ends all year have topped 60 yards against the
Hawks, and they both did it in the same game, so I wouldn't expect much
from Carlson this week.
• Russell Wilson
has multiple passing scores in four straight games and five of his last
six. Wilson has 25 or more Fantasy points in each of his last two games
and four of his last six. The Vikings have allowed a league-high 21
passing scores this year and are giving up 23.8 points per game to the
position, second most in the NFL.
• Marshawn Lynch should beast on the Vikings, who have allowed seven
running back scores in the last six games and are giving up 19 Fantasy
points per game to the position during that span. The Packers and
Redskins both rushed for more than 147 yards against the Vikes over the
last three weeks.
• The Vikings have allowed a receiver to score in
eight straight games and have given up 10 total receiver touchdowns
during that span. Minnesota has already allowed six different 100-yard
receivers this year and Golden Tate --
who has three scores in his last three games -- is coming off of his
first 100-yard game of the season.
• Percy Harvin is expected to make his return, but will reportedly be
on a snap count.
• Doug Baldwin
has at least 75 yards and five catches in each of his last two games,
with one touchdown total. Jermaine Kearse
has scored in each of the last two games but has 43 and 75 yards,
respectively. The Vikings are giving up over 24 Fantasy points per game
to the position this year, 10th most in the NFL.
Chiefs at Broncos, Sun., 8:30 p.m. ET
• Peyton Manning has 33 touchdowns
in nine games this year. Yes, that is absurd. He also leads the NFL in
negative rushing with -27 yards through nine games. #Kneeldown
• Knowshon Moreno has scored 13 touchdowns while producing 10 or more
Fantasy points in 12 of his last 14 games. Moreno had 100 total yards or
a touchdown in his two games against the Chiefs last year. Moreno also
has at least five catches and 49-plus yards in four of his last five
games. In their last game before the bye, the Chiefs allowed 214 yards
rushing and 274 total yards to the backs of the Bills.
• Demaryius Thomas has a touchdown in three straight games with five total
during that span. Thomas had at least 80 yards and a touchdown in both
meetings with the Chiefs in 2012.
• Wes Welker has a score in seven of his last nine games, but just
one in his last three. Three of the seven receiver scores allowed by the
Chiefs have gone to the opposing slot receiver.
• Eric Decker has only one game of more than five Fantasy points in
his last four games. He is third among the three Denver receivers with
just 20 targets during that span.
• Julius Thomas has a touchdown in three of his last four games and is
second among all tight ends with nine. No tight end has scored on the
Chiefs all year and they give up a league-low 35 yards and three Fantasy
points per game. Only Jordan Cameron
(eight points and 81 yards) has produced more than four Fantasy points
or 43 yards against the Chiefs defense.
• The Broncos D has 31
Fantasy points in their last two games and takes on a Chiefs team that
has given up at least eight Fantasy points in five straight and 10-plus
in two of those.
• The Chiefs D is the top-producing Fantasy unit
this year, but the unit has its hands full with Peyton and the Broncos,
who have produced five or fewer Fantasy points to six of their nine
opponents. However, three of the last four teams to play the Broncos
actually have 12 or more Fantasy points. Denver has turned the ball over
two or more times in four of the last five games and three or more times
in three of the last four. After being sacked five times in his first
six games, Peyton has been sacked eight times in his last three.
• Jamaal Charles is the only Chief I am starting this week. The Broncos
have allowed a running back to score in every single game this year and
have allowed a league-high five receiving scores to running backs, which
is great for Charles. Running backs have scored 15-plus Fantasy points
against the Broncos in eight of nine games this year and have topped 100
total yards in four straight and five of the last six.
Patriots at Panthers, Mon., 8:30 p.m. ET
• Tom Brady will try to do what no
quarterback has done this year; throw for multiple touchdowns and top 17
Fantasy points against this unbelievable Panthers defense. The Panthers
are allowing a league-low 10.3 points per game to opposing quarterbacks.
It should be noted that Brady has not thrown for more than 250 yards
with multiple touchdowns following his bye week since 2007.
• Stevan Ridley has a touchdown in four straight games with six total
during that run. Carolina has not allowed a rushing touchdown or 95
yards rushing to a running back group in five straight games. Four of
the last five running back groups to face Carolina have produced nine or
fewer Fantasy points.
• Shane Vereen
is expected back this week and picked up 159 total yards (101 rushing)
back in Week 1 in his only game this year. The Panthers are giving up
6.9 receptions (third most) and 48.8 yards (fifth most) per game to
backs as receivers, so Vereen may have some immediate PPR value even
though this is a brutal matchup.
• Aaron Dobson has led the Patriots receivers in snaps, routes and
targets over the last two weeks and has hauled in nine of his 14 looks
for 190 yards and three scores. Danny Amendola
caught all four of his targets in Week 9 for 122 yards and a touchdown.
Both could struggle this week, however, as no receiver has scored or
reached 10 Fantasy points in seven straight games against Carolina. The
Panthers also allow the lowest number of Fantasy points per game (12.9)
to receivers in 2013.
• Rob Gronkowski
has at least eight catches and 114 yards in two of his three games this
year. He is coming off of a season-best nine for 134 and a touchdown
against the Steelers in Week 9. Carolina has allowed a tight end to
score in two of the last three games and four of the last six, so Gronk
might start a scoring streak.
• Cam Newton has topped 30 Fantasy points in three of his last seven
games, but has not hit 20 in any of the other four games. Four straight
quarterbacks have produced multiple touchdowns against the Patriots,
including Geno Smith and Ryan Tannehill, and they are averaging 22.5 points per game.
•
The Carolina backfield is a bit of a mess. Mike Tolbert led the backs with 36 snaps played last time out, but
had his four-game scoring streak snapped. Tolbert still has 11
touchdowns in his last 12 games, but is very touchdown dependent and
touched the ball only four times in Week 10. DeAngelo Williams scored in Week 10 but played only 26 snaps and had
eight touches for 46 yards and the score. Jonathan Stewart played 22 snaps, but led the backs with 13 touches that
netted only 41 yards.
• Steve Smith
has not reached 70 yards receiving in a game yet this year and has not
scored in three straight games. The opponent's top outside receiver has
scored in three of the last four games against the Pats.
• Greg Olsen could have a tough game in Week 11. Only Tony Gonzalez has scored or reached 65 yards against the Pats, who
are giving up just 3.75 points per game to the position outside of
Gonzo's explosion.
• The Panthers defense has 12-plus Fantasy points
in five straight games and six of their last seven. They shut down the
49ers and posted their third game of 20-plus in the last four games. In
other words, if you touched the Panthers defense right now, you'd burn
your finger.
Colts at Titans, Thu., 8:30 p.m. ET
• Andrew Luck is coming off of a
dreadful game in which he threw just one touchdown with three
interceptions against the Rams. He had thrown for three touchdowns and
produced 30-plus Fantasy points in each of the two games before the Rams
debacle. Tennessee has allowed a league-low seven passing scores this
year and they have given up just one in their last five games. Only one
quarterback all year has produced 20 Fantasy points against the Titans
and no one has reached that mark in seven straight games.
• The
Titans have given up 20-plus Fantasy points to backs in five straight
games and have allowed multiple running back scores in seven straight.
At least one back has 13-plus Fantasy points in every one of those games.
•
Over the last five weeks, Trent Richardson
has scored zero touchdowns and has a grand total of 19 Fantasy points.
In those same five games, Donald Brown
has scored twice and has produced 33 Fantasy points.
• No wide
receiver has produced 10 Fantasy points or scored in seven straight
games against the Titans, who are giving up a league-low 9.7 points per
game to the position since Week 2.
• In the two games without Reggie Wayne, T.Y. Hilton has at
least seven catches and 121 yards receiving. In those two games, he has
been targeted 20 times and has 14 catches for 251 yards and three scores.
•
Ryan Fitzpatrick will start for the
Titans against a Colts pass defense that has allowed multiple passing
scores in three straight games and four of their last five. Quarterbacks
including Kellen Clemens and Case Keenum are averaging 25 points per game during that span.
•
The opposing starting running back has at least 10 Fantasy points in
eight of nine games against the Colts this year. The Colts have only
allowed two rushing scores in their last six games, but they are
surrendering 115.2 yards per game on the ground over their last five
games.
• Chris Johnson (55
snaps) had 17 touches and 73 total yards in a disappointing effort
against the Jags last week. Shonn Greene
(18 snaps) had 12 touches for 32 yards.
• Kendall Wright led the Titans with nine targets and caught seven passes
for 78 yards in Week 10. He is averaging over six catches per game since
Week 2, but has only one touchdown on the year.
• Delanie Walker quietly has 50-plus yards and a touchdown in two of his
last three games. The Colts have allowed only one tight end to score on
them all season.
