  • Dunlap compiled 39 tackles (25 solo), four sacks and a forced fumble during the 2022 regular season. Dunlap saw a resurgence with the Seahawks in 2021 to the tune of 8.5 sacks, but the veteran's production fell off again in his first season with the Chiefs. Dunlap has finished with five or fewer sacks in three of the last four seasons after starting his career with six or more in nine of his first 10 campaigns. He was on just a one-year deal in Kansas City and it's hard to see another resurgence coming, but he will likely have a team willing to take a chance on him if he elects to continue his career.

    By RotoWire

Dunlap signed a one-year, $8 million contract with the Chiefs on Thursday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Dunlap will join the Chiefs at their training camp after he was released by the Seahawks in March. The 33-year-old compiled 35 tackles, including 8.5 sacks, while also deflecting seven passes and forcing a fumble over 17 games with Seattle in 2021. Dunlap will provide the Chiefs with veteran leadership on the defensive line and will likely operate as the top reserve option behind rookie George Karlaftis this season.

  • Dunlap signed a two-year, $16.6 million contract with the Seahawks on Thursday, Adam Schefter of ESPN.com reports. Dunlap racked up five sacks in eight games with Seattle after being acquired from the Bengals via trade, but the Seahawks cut him to avoid his $14 million cap hit this offseason. The two sides renegotiated and settled on this two-year deal for the pass rusher, which includes $8.5 million in guaranteed money.

  • Dunlap finished the 2020 season with 32 tackles, six sacks and four pass breakups over 15 games between the Bengals and the Seahawks. Dunlap struggled over the first seven games with the Bengals, as he generated just one sack in that stretch. After being traded to the Seahawks in late October, Dunlap immediately looked like his old self with five sacks over the final eight regular-season games. Despite only playing half of the season in Seattle, Dunlap finished fourth on the team in sacks. The three-year, $45 million contract he signed with the Bengals in August 2018 expires in March, and it's unclear if the Seahawks will be able to retain him for 2021.
