Hyde has said he will either sign with Buffalo for 2024 or retire before the start of next season, Nick Sabato of the Niagara Gazette reports. Hyde has been considering retiring from football since the Bills were eliminated by the Chiefs from the postseason back in January. Former running mate Jordan Poyer departed for Miami in March, so if Hyde does come back to Buffalo for one more year, he would likely be in line for a significant role.

Hyde is considering retiring from football, Mark Gaughan of The Buffalo News reports. Hyde still hasn't made any concrete decision regarding his future in the league, though apparently retirement is a possibility. His current contract with the Bills is up in March, so he'll need to sign a new one at some point if he intends to play in 2024.

Hyde (neck) has been ruled out ahead of Saturday's game against the Chargers. Even though the 32-year-old was able to log a week of limited practice sessions, head coach Sean McDermott told reporters that Hyde was unlikely to suit up Saturday, so it's no surprise that he's officially been ruled out. With Hyde missing another week, both Taylor Rapp and Damar Hamlin could see increased work in the Bills' secondary.

Hyde (neck) is ruled out for Sunday's game against the Cowboys, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports. Hyde is nursing a neck stinger suffered during Buffalo's win over the Chiefs in Week 14, an injury that could potentially require a multi-week absence. Coach Sean McDermott has also ruled out A.J. Epenesa (ribs) versus Dallas, so the Bills' defense will be down multiple key players against one of the NFL's top offenses.

Hyde, who suffered a neck stinger during Sunday's win against the Chiefs, is viewed as week-to-week while the Bills continue to gather information as to whether he'll require a stint on injured reserve, Jon Scott of Spectrum News 1 Buffalo reports. Hyde may be looking at a multi-week absence, as it appears Buffalo is still not certain how much time he may need to recover from his injury. Any long-term absence to Hyde would certainly be a blow to the Bills' secondary and likely move Taylor Rapp into a starting role at strong safety and move Damar Hamlin into a regular depth reserve role. It's perhaps worth noting that Hyde missed almost all of last season with a neck injury.
