Daniels (groin) was elevated to the Bengals' active roster Saturday. The veteran defensive tackle injured his groin in the opening round of the NFL playoffs, but Daniels managed to be cleared of his injury in time for Sunday's Super Bowl matchup. The 32-year-old has played in just two games with the team this season.

Daniels is re-signing with the Bengals on a one-year deal, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. The veteran defensive tackle is re-upping with Cincinnati to the tune of $2.5 million. Daniels recorded 17 tackles (seven solo) across 11 games with the Bengals last year, his first with the club. He managed to play in 33 percent (354 snaps) of the team's total defensive snaps on the year, good for the second-highest percentage among defensive tackles on the team.

Daniels was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports. Daniels tested positive for COVID-19 exactly 10 days ago. His activation signals that he's recovered from the virus. The 31-year-old defensive tackle suited up in 11 games for the team in 2020, recording 17 tackles and no sacks. Daniels will be an unrestricted free agent in March.

Daniels (groin) has avoided the inactive list Week 3 against Philadelphia, Marisa Contipelli of the Bengals' official site reports. Daniels logged a pair of tackles in the season opener but was then forced to sit out Week 2 against the Bengals. His presence in the interior will be much welcomed with Geno Atkins (shoulder) set to miss another game.

Daniels (groin) is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Eagles. Daniels was unable to practice at all this week, so the defensive tackle should be considered on the wrong side of questionable for Cincinnati's Week 3 road tilt.
