Byard (chest) is listed as questionable for Thursday night's game against the Bears. Byard logged three consecutive full practices during Week 7 prep while dealing with a chest injury. The safety will almost certainly suit up for Thursday's contest and play through what appears to be a minor issue.

Byard posted five tackles (two solo) in a loss to the Seahawks on Wednesday. Byard tied for second on New England in stops behind Robert Spillane (eight). Byard joined the Patriots in March after two seasons in Chicago. He saw his tackle total dip considerably last year to 93 over 17 regular-season games but balanced that with seven pickoffs, the second-highest total of his career. Byard was on the field for all 50 of the Patriots' defensive snaps Wednesday and should have close to an every-down role throughout the campaign.

Byard recorded eight tackles (two solo) and an interception in the Bears' 19-16 loss to the Lions on Sunday. Byard finished with 93 tackles and eight passes defended, including seven interceptions, marking his sixth season with at least four interceptions. He consistently posted between five and seven tackles across most outings, maintaining steady weekly value. He is set to hit free agency but remains an excellent IDP option heading into his age-32 season.

Byard totaled two tackles (both solo) in Sunday's 31-3 win over Cleveland. Byard was part of a stifling Bears secondary that limited Shedeur Sanders to no touchdown tosses and picked off three passes, but the veteran safety posted a quiet stat line individually. His two tackles tied a season-low mark following a seven-game stretch during which he notched no fewer than five stops. Byard is still putting together an excellent campaign, as he leads the NFL with six interceptions.

Byard recorded six tackles (four solo) during Friday's 24-15 win at Philadelphia. After Friday's contest, Byard has now collected exactly six tackles in four of his last seven games. He's doing enough to keep up a near every-down role at safety, but his per-snap production has lagged compared to last season, keeping him off the IDP radar in most formats.
