  Terry McLaurin (knee) is on IR, and Diggs will now be the No. 1 receiver for the Commanders. He's already played well in tandem with McLaurin with three of five games with at least 15.5 PPR points, and he has at least six targets in every outing this year. The Eagles are No. 2 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing receivers, and 10 receivers have already scored at least 14.6 PPR points against Philadelphia this season. Antonio Williams is also worth using as a sleeper, and I expect Jayden Daniels to take advantage of this secondary in Week 8.

  Diggs (hand/hamstring/rest) was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice. Head coach Dan Quinn relayed to Tashan Reed of The Washington Post earlier Wednesday that Diggs wasn't going to practice for an unspecified reason. The Commanders ended up listing hand and hamstring issues in addition to rest, the latter of which is the likeliest reason for his absence because Diggs is expected to be a full participant Thursday. With Terry McLaurin (knee) out for the season, Diggs will be on the receiving end of plenty of targets from QB Jayden Daniels as long as Diggs is able to suit up on game days.

  Commanders head coach Dan Quinn said that Diggs won't practice Wednesday due to an unspecified issue but is expected to be a full participant Thursday, Tashan Reed of The Washington Post reports. Though Diggs isn't on the practice field coming off of a Week 7 bye, Quinn noted that the wideout's absence wasn't related to his prior hand injury nor any other health concern, per Nicki Jhabvala of The Athletic. Instead, Diggs appears to be getting more of a veteran's rest day, which Quinn added will likely be the norm for the receiver to begin practice weeks moving forward. With Terry McLaurin sustaining a season-ending knee injury in a Week 6 loss to the 49ers, Diggs should be locked in as Washington's No. 1 wideout for the rest of the season, though players such as Antonio Williams, Treylon Burks and Chig Okonkwo could be greater beneficiaries of McLaurin's absence in terms of seeing their respective target shares increase.

  Diggs brought in six of seven targets for 44 yards and a touchdown in the Commanders' 23-17 loss to the 49ers on Monday night. Diggs made a splash in his return from a one-game absence due to a hamstring injury, recording a one-yard touchdown grab late in the third quarter to begin a Commanders comeback from a 23-3 deficit. The veteran wideout finished with the second-highest reception total of the night for Washington while also setting the pace in targets, and his catch tally was also a new season high. Diggs will take a 24-214-4 line into a Week 7 bye before returning to action against the Eagles at home in a Week 8 clash on Sunday night, Nov. 1.
