Tampa Bay placed Gregory of the reserve/did not report list Tuesday, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports. The Buccaneers made the transaction after Gregory wasn't present Tuesday for the first day of training camp. The 31-year-old was also absent from the Buccaneers' three-day minicamp in June, and he currently has an open lawsuit against the NFL and the Broncos for discrimination due to a $500,000 fine he received last season for using THC.

Gregory (illness) is active for Monday's matchup against the Ravens, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports. Gregory was added to the injury report Sunday with an illness and was given a questionable designation, but the aliment won't prevent him from suiting up. Over his last four appearances, Gregory has recorded three tackles, including one sack, while playing a rotational role.

Broncos head coach Sean Payton said Wednesday that Gregory will be released if he's not traded within the next 24 to 48 hours, Chris Tomasson of The Denver Gazette reports. Per Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post, Payton cited the play of the Broncos' younger edge rushers as the reason for the team's plans to move on from Gregory. Since signing a five-year, $70 million deal with Denver last March, Gregory has appeared in just 10 of a possible 21 games while totaling 21 tackles, three sacks and two forced fumbles.

The Broncos are expected to release Gregory on Wednesday, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports. Denver will cut Gregory lose after he was bypassed for the start at outside linebacker in the Week 4 win over the Bears in favor of Nik Bonitto. Gregory still played 47 percent of the snaps on defense and totaled three tackles, but the Broncos seem inclined to increase Bonitto's role after he tallied four tackles and 2.5 sacks in the win over Chicago. Gregory signed a five-year, $70 million contract with Denver last offseason, but he was held back by injuries in 2022 and will move on from the Broncos having accrued just three sacks over 10 total games with the club.

Gregory was practicing with the team Thursday, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports. Gregory finished the 2022 campaign on injured reserve due to a knee injury. However, it appears the 30-year-old is now fully healed and ready to compete. A healthy Gregory, who missed a total of 11 games last season, would be a major boon for the Broncos' defense moving forward.
