Lewis (knee) was activated from the active/PUP list Tuesday. Lewis suffered a ruptured patellar tendon Week 8 last season, which the 28-year-old was still recovering from. Selected in the second round of the 2018 Draft, Lewis' career has been hindered by injuries, and he's only appeared in more than nine games once in his five-year career. He'll work to stay healthy this season after securing a one-year contract with the team in March.

Lewis (knee) will begin training camp on the active/PUP list, Nate Atkins of The Indianapolis Star reports. While Lewis isn't ready to practice, GM Chris Ballard said at his press conference that the defensive end was close to returning. Lewis played in seven games and started four last season before rupturing his patellar tendon Week 8. The 2018 second-rounder re-signed with Indianapolis in March and should play a depth role again this coming season.

Lewis (knee) was removed from the active/PUP list and returned to the active roster Wednesday. Lewis suffered a torn patellar tendon Week 8 of last season, but he appears all set for the start of training camp Wednesday after starting the week on the PUP list. The defensive end produced 14 tackles including 2.5 sacks, two pass deflections and an interception over eight games last season. Lewis is expected to open as a top reserve option behind Kwity Paye and Yannick Ngakoue on the defensive line in 2022.

The Colts placed Lewis (knee) on the active/PUP list Sunday, Chris Widlic of CBS4Indy reports. Lewis suffered a significant knee injury Week 8 last year and finished the season on IR. It's unclear how much time he may miss, but he'll be eligible to return at any point before the initial 53-man roster deadline. If he still remains out past the deadline, he'll be forced to miss at least the first four games of the regular season.

Lewis (shoulder) was seen practicing Monday, George Bremer of The Anderson Herald Bulletin reports. The fourth-year defensive end has been slower than expected in his recovery from his shoulder injury. However, his return to practice is an indication the issue is behind him and he's ready to step into his projected starting right defensive end role for the coming season.
