The 49ers signed Yiadom on Friday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports. The veteran cornerback has found a new home in San Francisco after spending the last two years of his career in New Orleans. Yiadom is coming off one of the most productive seasons of his career, tallying 37 total tackles and 14 passes defended, including one interception, while appearing in all 17 of the Saints' games. Yiadom was ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Falcons with a concussion, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports. Yiadom largely played on special teams during the first half of the season, but he's seen more action on defense over the past six games, playing at least 71 percent of defensive snaps in each contest. This allowed the 2018 third-round pick to tally a career-high 14 passes defended to go along with 36 tackles. With top cornerback Marshon Lattimore (ankle) still on IR, the Saints will be left with three healthy cornerbacks between Paulson Adebo, Alontae Taylor and Shemar Jean-Charles.

The Saints signed Yiadom on Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Yiadom is now set to remain in New Orleans for the time being following Thursday's transaction. The 27-year-old began last season as a member of the Texans before he was let go in November. The Saints signed him to their practice squad two days later, and Yiadom eventually served as a special-teams contributor across the team's final six games in 2022.

Yiadom (thigh) is out for Sunday's matchup against the Bears. While it is unclear when he sustained the injury, Yiadom did not practice in any fashion Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. The 26-year-old cornerback was able to play 50 special-teams snaps through the first two matchups of the 2022 campaign. Steven Nelson, the No. 1 left cornerback for the team, will continue to be counted on heavily.
