  • The NFL has placed Peppers (shoulder) on the commissioner exempt list Monday, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports. Peppers' placement on the list comes after he pled not guilty Monday after being arrested Saturday in Braintree, Mass. on charges that include strangulation and drug possession. As long as the safety remains on the list, he can't practice or attend games. In four appearances this season before he sat out this past Sunday's loss to the Dolphins with a shoulder injury, Peppers recorded 23 tackles and an interception.

  • Peppers (shoulder) was arrested Saturday in Braintree, Mass. on charges of assault and battery, strangulation and possession of a class "B" substance, NFL.com reports. According to the police, Peppers was arrested after officers responded to a disturbance at a Braintree home stemming from an alleged altercation between two people. Peppers -- who was inactive for Sunday's 15-10 loss to the Dolphins due to a shoulder injury -- is scheduled to appear in court Monday following his arrest. The Patriots and the NFL will likely wait for more details to emerge and allow the legal process to play out before the 29-year-old safety is subject to discipline.

  • Peppers (shoulder) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's divisional game against the Dolphins, Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald reports. Peppers injured his shoulder in Week 4 against the 49ers. He was able to log back-to-back limited practice sessions to end the week, but it appears his shoulder injury is too severe enough for him to play Sunday. Peppers' next chance at suiting up will be against the Texans in Week 6. Dell Pettus and Jaylinn Hawkins could serve as the Patriots' starting safeties due to Peppers being ruled out and Kyle Dugger listed as questionable after missing practice all week due to an ankle injury.

  • Peppers (shoulder) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Dolphins. Peppers missed Wednesday's practice but was able to get in limited work Thursday and Friday. The veteran safety has played through minor nicks and bruises all season to this point and logged 100 percent of the defensive snaps last Sunday versus San Francisco. On the year, Peppers has 23 tackles (11 solo) and two pass breakups, including one interception.

  • Peppers (shoulder) was a limited participant in practice Thursday, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports. Peppers logged a DNP on Wednesday, so it's a move in the right direction for him. The Michigan product dealt with a shoulder injury earlier in the season, but he was able to play through it, which is the likeliest scenario here. However, it'll be worth monitoring his status closer to kickoff Sunday against the Dolphins.
