Garrett said after Thursday night's loss to the 49ers that his knee is not 100 percent healthy, Greg Beacham of the Associated Press reports. Garrett posted no stats in the box score in his Rams debut Thursday, and it was the first time since the 2018 season that he didn't even record a single quarterback pressure in a game. "This was the worst version of myself that I've put out there, and I've got to be better," Garrett said. The star edge rusher missed most of training camp and the entire preseason tending to a knee injury. He'll have 10 days to get ready for Week 2 against the Giants.

Garrett (knee) was listed as a full participant on Wednesday's injury report, Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports Bay Area reports. Garrett was contained to work on the side with the Rams' training staff, at best, during training camp due to swelling in his knee. He recently mixed into drills this past weekend as the team prepared for the trip to Melbourne, Australia, and while he was listed as a DNP on Tuesday, he was listed as FP on L.A.'s injury report Wednesday, setting the stage for him to make his Rams debut Thursday against the 49ers.

Garrett (knee) did not practice Tuesday, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports. Garrett hasn't practiced much this summer, but coach Sean McVay has expressed no concern about the star edge rusher's availability for Thursday's opener against the 49ers. Garrett isn't someone who needs to practice much in order to play on game days, even as he adapts to a new defensive scheme following a June trade from Cleveland.

Garrett (knee) did not participate in Sunday's practice, Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times reports. Garrett was not dressed for practice Sunday and was working off to the side with trainers. The Defensive Player of the Year's chances at a repeat award jumped this weekend as the Rams announced that Aaron Donald was returning to the team on a one-year $20 million deal. It is unclear when Garrett will return to practice, but if the team waits much longer to get him back in pads, there is a chance he will miss the Week 1 divisional matchup with the 49ers on Thursday, Sept. 10.

Garrett (knee) did not participate in Monday's training camp practice, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports. Garrett has been held out of practice for the last couple of weeks while recovering from swelling in his knee. He's unlikely to play in Thursday's preseason finale against the Chargers, but he still has time to progress enough in his recovery to be cleared to play Week 1 against the 49ers on Thursday, Sept. 10.
