Abram was released by the Saints on Tuesday, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports. After being drafted by the Raiders in 2019, Abram has spent the last three seasons in Green Bay, Seattle and New Orleans. The journeyman was looking to return to the Big Easy, but he ultimately failed to make it through final roster cuts. It remains to be seen what opportunity will arise next for the veteran safety.

Abram signed with the Saints' 53-man roster from their practice squad Thursday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Abram had previously been elevated three times this season by New Orleans, although he hasn't suited up since Week 5 against the Patriots. With Marcus Maye (shoulder) questionable for Sunday's game against the Lions, the Saints have opted to bring Abram back to their active roster to strengthen their depth in the secondary.

Abram (illness) is questionable for Sunday's matchup against New Orleans, Rachel Gossen of the Raiders' official site reports. Abram logged back-to-back limited sessions after not practicing Wednesday due to an illness and will likely be a game-time decision ahead of Sunday's 1:00 PM ET kickoff. The third-year safety has been a key piece of Las Vegas' secondary this season, so his potential absence would be a huge blow to the Raiders defense.

Abram (illness) did not practice Wednesday. Abram must have picked up his illness following Week 7's win over the Texans as he played the entire matchup. Through his first six games with Las Vegas, Abram has compiled 40 tackles (30 solo) and one pass breakup. He'll have two more practice chances ahead of Sunday's game against the Saints.

Abram recorded eight tackles (six solo) during Sunday's 38-20 win over the Texans. Abram notched his most tackles in a game since recording 12 during the season opener. Across six appearances, he's notched 40 tackles and one pass defense, putting him slightly behind pace to match his career-high 116 stops from a year ago.
