Ramczyk announced his retirement from the NFL on Thursday. The 32nd overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, Ramczyk injured his knee in Week 14 of the 2023 season and was never medically cleared to play again, missing the entirety of the 2024 campaign. Prior to the injury, Ramczyk was one of the best right tackles in the league, earning first-team All-Pro honors once and second-team All-Pro twice. He started all 101 games he appeared in during his seven seasons with the Saints.

Ramczyk (knee) won't be ready until at least training camp, head coach Dennis Allen said last week, John DeShazler of the Saints' official site reports. Ramczyk missed the team's final four games of the 2023 campaign, and his status for the 2024 season remains up in the air. Allen stated Wednesday, "We're still waiting to see where he is -- when we get probably to training camp will be the first time that we would even potentially see him." In his absence, Trevor Penning saw work with the first team at right tackle during OTAs.

The Saints placed Ramczyk (knee) on injured reserve Saturday. Ramcyzk was unable to practice all week after missing the Saints' last three games with this knee issue, so it's no surprise that the All-Pro tackle has been shut down. Landon Young is expected to fill Ramczyk's void on New Orleans' offensive line over the next two weeks.

Ramczyk (knee) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Rams, Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reports. Ramczyk continues to deal with a lingering knee issue, which also kept him out for Week 15 against the Giants. The short week likely didn't do the veteran offensive tackle any favors in getting healthy enough to suit up for Week 16. Landon Young will be expected to get the start at right tackle in Ramczyk's absence.

Ramczyk (knee) is inactive Sunday against the Giants. Ramczyk logged limited practices throughout the week and came into the day as questionable. Ultimately, the Wisconsin product won't be able to play Sunday, leaving Landon Young as the likely next man up at right tackle.
