  • Eagles' Jalen Hurts: QBs to Start
    By Jamey Eisenberg

Hurts just had the worst game of his career in Week 14 at the Chargers with 240 passing yards, no touchdowns and four interceptions, and he only managed 8 rushing yards with a lost fumble. Fantasy managers are concerned about starting him in the playoffs, but I would trust him in Week 15 against the Raiders. Hurts has scored at least 20.3 Fantasy points in five of six home games this season, and he's averaging 25.2 Fantasy points in Philadelphia this year. And while the Raiders have limited Justin Herbert and Bo Nix in the past two games to 17.6 Fantasy points or less in each outing, we've still had six quarterbacks score at least 21.2 Fantasy points against Las Vegas this year. Hurts should remain a starting Fantasy option in all leagues.

  • Hurts completed 21 of 40 pass attempts for 240 yards, no touchdowns and four interceptions while taking four carries for eight yards and a lost fumble in Monday's 22-19 overtime loss to the Chargers. There is simply no other way to break it down: this was Hurts' worst performance of his otherwise impressive professional career. The 26-year-old tripled his season interception total with Monday's quartet of picks, and he even had a potential fifth one reversed following a replay review. To add insult to injury, a comedy of errors unfolded in the second quarter that resulted in Hurts scooping up a ball that a defender who intercepted his initial pass had fumbled away, only to have the ball stripped away from his arms by a Chargers defender to give possession back to Los Angeles. The mobile quarterback has done a commendable job protecting the football prior to Monday's outburst of turnovers, so fantasy managers should not lose faith in Hurts ahead of a get-right matchup against Las Vegas in Week 15.

  • Hurts completed 19 of 34 passes for 230 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in Friday's 24-15 loss to the Bears. He added four rushes for 31 yards but also lost a fumble. Hurts failed to move the Eagles offense in the first half, as he was regularly off target and totaled only 57 passing yards on 10 attempts. He was more effective in the second half, connecting with A.J. Brown on several key completions -- including 33 and four-yard touchdown strikes. Even Hurts' effort in the final two quarters was hampered by two turnovers, however, including a fumble on a Tush Push deep in Bears territory. While he has been inconsistent leading the Philadelphia offense, Hurts has multiple touchdowns in consecutive games and four of his last six contests.

  • Hurts completed 14 of 28 pass attempts for 135 yards while taking 10 carries for 31 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 16-9 win over Detroit. Hurts turned in a stat line similar to what he was producing out of the gates this season: low-volume passing totals with almost all of his value coming from his legs. Fantasy mangers would prefer if the 26-year-old could utilize both of his elite skills on a weekly basis, but at least his sporadic rushing scores have helped limit the signal-caller from truly having a bad game through 10 starts. Adding it all up, Hurts is completing 69 percent of his passes while accounting for 22 total touchdowns to just three turnovers. Those elite metrics coupled with a soft matchup against the Cowboys next Sunday should elevate Hurts' stock in Week 12.

  • Hurts completed 15 of 26 pass attempts for 183 yards and a touchdown while taking five carries for 27 yards and a lost fumble in Monday's 10-7 win over Green Bay. Hurts fell victim to a frigid defensive battle at Lambeau Field on Monday Night Football. He coughed up his second fumble of the season at the end of a lengthy opening drive and followed that up with three punts and a turnover on downs in a scoreless first half. The 26-year-old came alive in the fourth quarter when he fired a 36-yard rainbow to DeVonta Smith for Philadelphia's only touchdown and game-winning score. Hurts may be asked to shoulder more of a load on offense Week 11 against a Lions offense that is clicking on all cylinders heading into Sunday Night Football.
