• Packers' Robert Rochell: Will return to Lambeau

  Rochell re-signed with the Packers on Tuesday. Rochell saw the field in nine regular-season games for the Packers last year, plus both postseason contests. He was primarily a special teams contributor, and his only defensive snaps (four) came in a wild-card win over the Cowboys. The 2021 fourth-round pick will attempt to earn a bigger role in the secondary in 2024.

  Rochell (neck) is active for Sunday's game against the Vikings, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site reports. Rochell missed the Packers' Week 16 win over the Panthers after sustaining a neck injury in practice leading up to that game. He was a limited participant in all three practices this week and will return to his special teams role for Week 17.

• Rams' Robert Rochell: Pops up in concussion protocol

  Rochell (concussion) is questionable to play Sunday against the Cardinals, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports. Rochell was listed as a DNP during practice Wednesday and Thursday due to an illness, but he was able to participate in a limited fashion Friday. However, the 6-foot-2 cornerback also landed in concussion protocol Friday, though it's unclear when or how this issue first arose. Rochell recorded three tackles while almost exclusively playing on special teams over the first eight games of the season, and he'll have just one more day to clear protocol ahead of Sunday's contest against Arizona.

• Rams' Robert Rochell: Healthy ahead of training camp

  Rochell (chest) is fully healthy in advance of training camp, Cameron DaSilva of USA Today reports. Rochell carved out a sizable role as a rookie, but his first NFL season was cut short after suffering a rib injury in December. Per DaSilva, Rams head coach Sean McVay seems to think the second-year corner could be in store for a breakout campaign in 2022 now that he's fully healthy.

• Rams' Robert Rochell: Clears COVID-19 protocols

  Rochell (chest) was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday but remains on IR. Rochell is no longer in the league's COVID-19 protocol, but he won't be eligible to return from his chest injury until Week 17 at the earliest. He has 14 tackles, four passes defensed and an interception this season.
