Vildor signed a one-year contract with the Buccaneers on Thursday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Vildor started two of his 17 regular-season appearances with Detroit in 2024, and he now figures to handle a similar key depth role at cornerback for Tampa Bay. The 2020 fifth-round pick also has the ability to work as a reliable contributor on special teams.

Vildor finished the 2024 regular season with 16 tackles (10 solo) and three pass defenses across 17 games. Vildor signed a one-year, $1.29 million contract with the Lions in April of 2024 after spending the 2023 campaign with Detroit, Tennessee and Chicago. The 2020 fifth-round pick was a consistent contributor on special teams, but he did start at outside corner for Week 12 and 13 and recorded six tackles (five solo) over that span. Vildor enters the 2025 offseason as an unrestricted free agent, and he'll look to join an organization that can offer him more snaps with the first-team defense.

Vildor is starting in place of the injured Terrion Arnold (groin) against the Colts on Sunday, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports. Arnold put in a limited practice Thursday and a full session Friday, but he's inactive Sunday anyway, giving Vildor the chance to start opposite Carlton Davis. Vildor has played on 68 defensive snaps in 10 games this season, recording five tackles (four solo) and a pass breakup, though he did start three games during Detroit's 2023 playoff run. The 2020 fifth-round pick of the Bears signed a one-year deal with the Lions in the offseason after spending time with Detroit, Tennessee and Philadelphia last season.

The Lions re-signed Vildor to a one-year contract Wednesday. Vildor split time with the Titans, Eagles and Lions last season, appearing in seven total regular-season games. He took over as a starting cornerback for Detroit in Week 17 and held the job throughout the Lions' playoff run.

Vildor was absent from the Lions' injury report Tuesday after he left Sunday's loss to the Bears early with cramping. Vildor had to leave his Lions debut early, but he should be able to be a full go Saturday against the Broncos. The four-year pro is also set to take on a potentially larger role in Week 15 and split snaps at corner with Jerry Jacobs, opposite starter Cam Sutton, according to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press.
