  Johnson (ankle) is inactive for Sunday's matchup with the Saints. Johnson was able to work up to being a full participant at practice this week, but the ankle injury he suffered in Week 7 against Cleveland will now sideline him for at least one contest. In his absence, Adetomiwa Adebawore will be among those who see an increase in workload on the defensive line.

  Johnson (ankle) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's game against the Saints. Johnson was seen wearing a walking boot and using crutches after the Colts' Week 7 loss to the Browns, but he seems to be trending in the right direction to play this Sunday. The 25-year-old defensive lineman out of Missouri State was able to participate in full during Friday's practice after recording consecutive DNPs on Wednesday and Thursday. If Johnson is unable to go this Sunday, Adetomiwa Adebawore is expected to see an increased workload as a rotational lineman on the Colts' defense.

• Colts' Eric Johnson: Placed on non-football injury list

  The Colts placed Johnson (undisclosed) on the active/non-football injury list Sunday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports. Johnson was selected by the Colts in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, but the start of his pro career will be delayed. The extent of his injury remains unclear, but he'll likely need to return to training camp practices soon if he hopes to make the initial roster.
