  Williams completed 24 of 34 passes for 247 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions and rushed twice for one yard in the Bears' 34-17 win over the Seahawks on Monday night. Williams helped set the tone for the Bears' statement road victory by leading a 17-play, 80-yard march that absorbed 8:32 of the first quarter, one the third-year signal-caller capped off with a one-yard touchdown pass to Luther Burden. Williams then managed the game effectively from that point forward, avoiding mistakes while leaning on a workhorse performance from D'Andre Swift (27 carries, three touchdowns) and an often dominating effort from his defense. Williams now has a three-game streak of interception-free performances and is up to 1,267 passing yards through five contests heading into a Week 9 home matchup against the Buccaneers on Sunday night.

  It's hard to sit Williams given his upside, but he's only scored more than 20 Fantasy points twice in four games this season. And this is a brutal matchup in Week 8 at Seattle. The Seahawks are No. 2 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks, and only Marcus Mariota in Week 3 and Brock Purdy in Week 5 have scored at least 20 Fantasy points. Seattle has held Drake Maye, Jacoby Brissett, Justin Herbert, Bo Nix and Patrick Mahomes to 11.8 Fantasy points or less, and Nix and Mahomes combined for just 10.5 Fantasy points in the past two games. I would prefer to start Williams in just Superflex and two-quarterback leagues in Week 8.

Williams spearheaded another prolific performance for the Bears offense, leading his squad to another 30-point tally while eclipsing the 300-yard mark for the second time in five days. Williams tied his season with 9.3 yards per attempt, and he accomplished his stellar numbers while focusing on a tight pool of five targets. The 2024 first overall pick's two touchdown passes went to Luther Burden (24 yards) and Colston Loveland (12 yards), marking Williams' first multi-TD tally since Week 1. Williams appears to be clicking on all cylinders in his second season in Ben Johnson's aggressive offense, now having completed 71.0 percent of his passes for 1,020 yards through four games heading into a Week 8 road showdown with the defending champion Seahawks on Monday night, Nov. 2.

He also fumbled once but recovered. Making his return from a three-game absence due to a hamstring injury, Williams opened the game looking like he hadn't missed a beat. The 2024 first overall pick completed his first 12 passes and didn't misfire much after that point while connecting with eight different targets overall. Williams hit Colston Loveland for his one touchdown pass and just narrowly missed a second scoring connection with the second-year tight end during a prolific afternoon overall. Williams looks back to full health and will get a quick opportunity to build on Sunday's stellar numbers in a Week 7 home matchup against the Patriots next Sunday.

• Bears' Caleb Williams: Active for Week 6

  Williams (hamstring) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Falcons. It was reported Saturday that Williams was on track to both suit up and start Sunday in Week 6, and it is now official that he will be in uniform. While the latter has not officially been confirmed, Case Keenum was designated as Chicago's third quarterback Sunday and Tyson Bagent is the only other signal-caller on the roster, so all signs point to Williams opening the contest under center.
