• Patriots' TreVeyon Henderson: Sits Thursday due to illness

  4H ago • By RotoWire

Henderson (illness) did not practice Thursday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Henderson will try to shed his illness and return to practice Friday. If he's unable to practice without limitations Friday, the 2025 second-round pick would likely take an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Dolphins. Henderson has struggled to earn playing time in recent weeks, splitting change-of-pace work behind Rhamondre Stevenson with Corey Kiner.

• Patriots' TreVeyon Henderson: Missing from practice due to ankle issue

  6H ago • By RotoWire

Henderson wasn't on the field for Thursday's practice due to an ankle injury, Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald reports. Though the Patriots left him off their initial Week 8 injury report released Wednesday, Henderson may be dealing with an aggravation of the ankle he previously sprained in a Week 5 win over the Raiders. Since then, Henderson has been able to suit up in both of the team's last two contests, but he's played limited snaps behind starter Rhamondre Stevenson. In an effort to get the ball in Henderson's hands more frequently, head coach Mike Vrabel told Kyed on Tuesday that the second-year back could get more involved on kickoff returns, though that plan could be put on hold while Henderson is nursing an injury.

Henderson (ankle) remained limited at Thursday's practice, Mark Daniels of MassLive reports. Henderson has been limited in back-to-back practice sessions to kick off Week 6 prep. He'll likely need to upgrade to full participation Friday to avoid carrying an injury designation into Sunday's home game against the Jets, in which second place in the AFC East will be on the line. Corey Kiner would be in line for change-of-pace work behind Rhamondre Stevenson if Henderson sits.

Henderson (ankle) is in pads ahead of Thursday's practice, Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald reports. Henderson was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice, and he looks poised to practice in some capacity again Thursday, though the extent of his participation remains to bee seen. After initial pessimism following his exit from the Week 5 win over the Raiders, Henderson seemingly has a chance to suit up Sunday against the Jets without missing any additional game action.

• Patriots' TreVeyon Henderson: Surprise practice participant Wednesday

  15D ago • By RotoWire

The Patriots listed Henderson (ankle) as a limited participant in Wednesday's practice. After Henderson was diagnosed with a right high-ankle sprain coming out of Sunday's win over the Raiders, Adam Schefter of ESPN reported Tuesday that the second-year running back would avoid surgery but was expected to miss multiple weeks. While that could still be the case, Henderson's involvement in practice Wednesday -- albeit in a limited capacity -- suggests that the Patriots haven't yet ruled him out from playing Week 6 against the Jets. However, in the more likely event that Henderson ends up sitting out this Sunday, Rhamondre Stevenson would be in store for a larger share of the touches out of the backfield, while Corey Kiner would serve as the top complement to Stevenson.
