  • Chiefs' Josh Simmons: Involved at minicamp
    By RotoWire

Simmons was seen participating in the Chiefs' minicamp Friday, Jesse Newell of The Athletic reports. The 2025 first-round pick missed multiple games during his rookie season due to personal issues and then suffered a season-ending wrist injury in Week 13 against the Cowboys. Simmons is now back on the field for minicamp and appears ready to protect Patrick Mahomes in the 2026 season.

  • Simmons (wrist) was placed on the injured reserve list Wednesday. As expected, Simmons was placed on IR after sustaining a dislocated and fractured wrist in Kansas City's Thanksgiving Day loss to the Cowboys. He'll now be forced to miss at least the team's next four games, and Wanya Morris will likely step in and start at left tackle.

The 2025 first-round pick from Ohio State suffered a dislocated and fractured wrist in the Chiefs' Week 13 loss to the Cowboys. • Simmons suffered a dislocated and fractured wrist during the Chiefs' 31-28 loss to the Cowboys and is out indefinitely, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. The Chiefs were already without starting right guard Trey Smith (ankle) for Thursday's game, and Kansas City lost two more starting offensive linemen in Simmons and Jawaan Taylor (elbow) during the game. Simmons will undergo an MRI on Friday and seek opinions on treatment options, but the rookie first-rounder is in jeopardy of being sidelined for the rest of the 2025 season. Wanya Morris and Jaylon Moore are the top candidates to start at left tackle during Simmons' extended absence.

  • Simmons (wrist) has been ruled out for the rest of Thursday's game against the Cowboys. Simmons appeared to sustain the injury late in the third quarter, which is severe enough for him to not return to Thursday's game. With Jawaan Taylor (elbow) also done for the day, the Chiefs are working with backup offensive tackles in Wanya Morris and Jaylon Moore.
