Across six regular-season games, Ridgeway has logged eight tackles (four solo) while serving as the Saints' backup defensive tackle.

Ridgeway has not played more than 36 percent of the defensive snaps in any game this season, so his being inactive is not expected to have much of an impact defensively. Ridgeway was traded from the Commanders to the Saints along with a 2025 seventh-round draft pick in exchange for a 2025 sixth-round draft pick Wednesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. The addition of Ridgeway gives New Orleans some insurance on the interior of the defensive line, as starting defensive tackle Khalen Saunders recovers from a calf injury that could impact his Week 1 availability. Ridgeway appeared in 32 games for Washington over the previous two seasons, notching 55 tackles (30 solo).

Ridgeway has been dealing with a foot injury that he suffered last week, but he'll be able to play Week 16 against New York. The defensive lineman recorded three tackles in the team's Week 15 loss to the Rams.

Ridgeway has exited Sunday's game against the Dolphins with a shin injury, Zach Selby of the Commanders' official site reports. Ridgeway had one tackle before being forced out of the game and is questionable to return. In his absence, Phidarian Mathis will likely see reserve work at defensive tackle.
