  • Lane (wrist) is expected to undergo surgery in the coming days, potentially as soon as Wednesday, Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports reports. Lane suffered a fractured wrist in the Ravens' Week 1 win over the Colts on Sunday, and now that he's set for surgery, the rookie wideout is hopeful to miss only "about a month," according to Zenitz. With Zay Flowers (hamstring) also less than 100 percent, the Ravens could be dipping into their wideout depth early in the 2026 campaign. Rashod Bateman, Chris Moore and LaJohntay Wester picked up the slack against Indy, but Devontez Walker (groin) and rookie Elijah Sarratt could join the mix Sunday against the Saints.

  • Ravens head coach Jesse Minter said that Lane will receive second and third medical opinions on his injured wrist this week before a timeline for his return is established, Sam Cohn of The Baltimore Sun reports. Lane's NFL debut in Sunday's 41-23 win over the Colts came to an early end due to the wrist injury, which was confirmed to be a fracture after the game. An upcoming MRI along with additional testing on the wrist should help the Ravens gain a better understanding of the severity of the fracture, but at the very least, the rookie third-round pick is expected to miss the team's Week 2 game against the Saints. Lane's likely absence could open up more opportunities for Devontez Walker (groin) and Eljiah Sarratt (coach's decision), both of whom sat out the season opener.

  • Lane (wrist) suffered a fractured wrist in Sunday's 41-23 win over the Colts and will undergo further testing Monday, including an MRI, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. Lane is expected to face a multi-week absence due to the fractured wrist he sustained in his NFL debut, which led to the rookie third-round pick exiting the game after catching one of three targets for 11 yards. A more precise timetable for Lane's recovery will likely be established after the results of his MRI come in, but he will almost certainly sit out Week 2 against the Saints.

  • Lane brought in all three targets for 38 yards and a touchdown in the Ravens' 24-7 preseason win over the Eagles on Saturday. The rookie third-round pick has already been building plenty of momentum in training camp, and he carried it over to his first taste of game action of the preseason. Lane's first reception came on Baltimore's second possession and went for 18 yards, and he went on to notch a touchdown on a 16-yard grab with just over nine minutes remaining in the second quarter. Lane's performance Saturday coupled with what he's shown on the practice field seemingly gives him an inside track to the No. 3 receiver job heading into the Ravens' next preseason matchup next Saturday against the Vikings.

  • Lane has been the buzz of Ravens training camp over the first couple weeks, Ryan Mink of the team's official site reports. According to Mink, Lane is making highlight-reel catches on what feels like a daily basis, and even Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com said Saturday that in his 27 years of covering the team, Lane has had the best rookie training camp he's ever seen. While Lane is doing it all on the practice field, he'll need to replicate it during preseason action if he's going to keep surging for a role in three-wide sets alongside Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman. Third-round rookie Lane's top competition for snaps appears to be Devontez Walker and 2026 fourth-rounder Elijah Sarratt.
