Teamer was released by the Saints on Tuesday, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports. After three seasons with the Raiders, Teamer was attempting to earn a role on his hometown team in New Orleans. The former Tulane standout was in competition for a depth role at safety, so it now remains to be seen if he will get a chance to join the practice squad or look for opportunities elsewhere.

Teamer is slated to sign a one-year contract with the Saints on Thursday, Matthew Paras of NOLA.com reports. Teamer, a New Orleans native and former Tulane standout, spent the last three seasons in Las Vegas but attended the Saints' rookie minicamp and mandatory minicamp. He was waived by the Raiders back in November and also arrested for a DUI. Now, Teamer faces an opportunity to compete for a depth role at safety, where his ability to contribute on special teams could also come in handy.

Teamer (hamstring) is receiving a tryout with New Orleans during minicamp this week, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports. Teamer was waived by the Raiders in November while dealing with the hamstring injury, but he was also arrested for a DUI just before his exit. The 27-year-old is now healthy and working to earn a roster spot somewhere in 2024, which could be in New Orleans depending on his performance during camp.

Teamer (hamstring) was waived by the Raiders on Monday, Vic Tafur of The Athletic reports. Teamer has been out of action since Week 6 with a hamstring injury, although he was reinstated from IR on Saturday before ultimately being declared inactive for Sunday's loss to the Chiefs. The 26-year-old was arrested for a DUI early that morning, which likely played a part in him being inactive for the contest, and ultimately, in his release.

The Raiders activated Teamer (hamstring) from injured reserve Saturday, and he is questionable for Sunday's game against the Chiefs. Teamer was a full participant in all three practices this week, a good indicator that he could make his return Sunday after sustaining the hamstring injury in Week 6 against the Patriots. He's mostly played on special teams and will likely resume that role should he be active for Sunday's contest.
