Holani carried once for nine yards and failed to haul in his lone target in Monday's 34-17 loss to the Bears. He also returned six kickoffs for 144 yards. With the Seahawks clearing Zach Charbonnet (knee) to make his season debut and with Jadarian Price (chest) coming off injured reserve, Holani predictably saw his playing time out of the backfield take a hit. He was on the field for just 11 of the Seahawks' 63 offensive snaps, with his season-low 17 percent snap share placing him comfortably behind Price (48 percent) and Charbonnet (37 percent) but ahead of Emanuel Wilson (zero snaps). For the first time all season, Holani was called upon to serve as the Seahawks' primary kickoff returner, as Rashid Shaheed (knee) and Velus Jones (hamstring) were inactive Monday.

Holani turned five carries into 11 yards and caught one of two passes for 12 yards during the Seahawks' 20-3 win over the Chiefs on Sunday. All five of Holani's carries came in the first half, but he didn't record a rush over the final two quarters as Emanuel Wilson dominated the Seahawks' backfield to finish with 100 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries. Holani has logged five carries in three of his last four games, but he would likely be demoted to RB3 duties against the Bears in Week 8 if Zach Charbonnet (knee) is cleared play in that contest.

Holani is slated to remain Seattle's No. 2 running back Sunday against Kansas City, as Zach Charbonnet (knee) has been ruled out for the contest, John Boyle of the team's official site reports. Charbonnet was activated from the PUP list Thursday and practiced in full all week, but he's not quite ready to make his return from a torn ACL. As such, Holani will log another week as the Seahawks' backup running back behind Emanuel Wilson. That role hasn't led to much production, as Holani has tallied just 97 yards and one touchdown on 31 carries through six games this season, though he's also registered an 11-76-0 receiving line. Should Charbonnet return Week 8 versus Chicago, Holani seems likely to see his opportunities decrease.

Holani rushed five times for 20 yards and a touchdown in the Seahawks' 17-14 overtime loss to the Broncos on Thursday. Holani filled his usual complementary role behind Emanuel Wilson, and he made good use of two of his touches in particular. Holani gained 13 of his yards on one carry, and he also posted his first rushing touchdown of the campaign on a one-yard run with just under six minutes remaining in regulation. Holani should remain in a low-volume role that could shrink even further if Zach Charbonnet (knee) is activated from the PUP list as expected for a Week 7 home showdown against the Chiefs on Sunday, Oct. 25.

Holani rushed four times for seven yards and lost a fumble while reeling in all four of his targets for 24 yards during Sunday's 32-29 loss to the 49ers. Holani was unable to get much going on the ground in Week 5, and he put the ball on the ground twice in the contest, the latter of which resulted in a defensive touchdown for San Francisco with 18 seconds left in the first half. The running back entered the game having dealt with both a knee injury and an injured rib at practice throughout the week, but he was ultimately good to go, and he was estimated to be a full participant on the Seahawks' injury report Monday. With Zach Charbonnet (knee) not expected back in Week 6, Holani will once again operate as a top backup option behind Emanuel Wilson in the backfield against the Broncos on Thursday Night Football.
