• Saints' Malcolm Jenkins: Will play Sunday

  Jenkins (knee) is active Sunday against the Falcons, John Hendrix of SI.com reports. Jenkins was considered questionable after logging limited practices Thursday and Friday. The 33-year-old veteran hasn't missed a snap since Week 2 and will try to keep that streak going Sunday.

  Jenkins agreed Wednesday to restructure his contract with the Saints, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Jenkins' restructured contract will save the Saints roughly $3.4 million in cap space in 2021. With New Orleans' cap situation being so tight -- especially in a rare offseason where the overall salary cap has actually decreased -- it's not surprising to see the team continue to rely on such methods. Drew Brees, Wil Lutz, Demario Davis and Cameron Jordan had all agreed to restructured contracts prior to Jenkins.

• Saints' Malcolm Jenkins: Timely fumble recovery in loss

  Jenkins finished with five tackles (four solo), a tackle for a loss and a fumble recovery in the Saints' 24-21 loss to the Eagles on Sunday. Jenkins provided the Saints' only forced turnover in this one, and his fumble recovery came at an opportune time. Trailing by 10 with under two minutes to play, Jenkins recovered an untimely Jalen Hurts fumble to set up a New Orleans touchdown that brought the team within a field goal of tying it up. Though the Saints ultimately lost the game, Jenkins helped put the team in position to make it a game. He'll get the Chiefs in Week 15 where he'll have the undesirable task of covering Kansas City's lightning-fast wideouts.

• Saints' Malcolm Jenkins: Records sack in win

  Jenkins totaled eight tackles (five solo), two passes defended, one sack, and a tackle for a loss in the Saints' 26-23 OT win over the Bears on Sunday. Jenkins came away with his second sack of the season and finished second in tackles in this one. Through seven games, he's averaging six tackles per contest and will be needed against a high-powered Buccaneers offense in Week 9.

  Jenkins (knee) won't carry an injury tag into Monday's game versus the Chargers. Jenkins was limited in practice all week, which is enough for the safety to avoid missing his first game since 2013. The 32-year-old safety has played every snap through four games and recorded 27 tackles, a sack and three pass breakups. With Janoris Jenkins (shoulder) ruled out and Marshon Lattimore (hamstring) questionable, Jenkins' work in coverage will be even more important Monday.
