    Raiders officially sign DT Dan Williams, TE Lee Smith

    The Oakland Raiders announced the signings of defensive tackle Dan Williams and tight end Lee Smith on Wednesday.  Williams spent the previous five years with the Cardinals, where he started 40 of the 70 games he played in. Williams totaled 116 tackles and two sacks. He recorded a single-season best 45 tackles a year ago.  Smith spent the past four seasons with the Bills and is predominantly a blocking tight end. He was originally drafted by the Patriots in the fifth round in 2011 before being placed on waivers — which is how the Bills acquired him.

    Report: Raiders agree to terms with NT Dan Williams, LB Curtis Lofton

    The Oakland Raiders have agreed to terms with nose tackle Dan Williams and linebacker Curtis Lofton on Wednesday, reports Michael C. Wright of ESPN. The move takes Oakland out of the Terrance Knighton sweepstakes. Williams, 27, spent his first five years in the league with the Cardinals. He started nine of 16 games last season, registering 24 tackles and one sack. Lofton, 28, has started all but one of his first 112 games in the NFL.     Report: Dan Williams, Curtis Lofton visiting Raiders Tuesday

    The Oakland Raiders are hosting nose tackle Dan Williams and linebacker Curtis Lofton on free-agent visits Tuesday, according to former NFL scout John Middlekauff. Williams has drawn interest from the Redskins and Giants, while Lofton was released Monday after the Saints were unable to find a trade partner.

    Reports: Redskins, Giants interested in NT Dan Williams

    The Washington Redskins have expressed interest in nose tackle Dan Williams, ESPN.com reports. The New York Giants have also contacted Williams, who is set to become an unrestricted free agent Tuesday. Williams rated 14th out of 81 defensive tackles in 2014, according to Pro Football Focus. He excelled in run defense, ranking eighth at the position against the run. The nose tackle recorded 31 total tackles and one sack last season.

    Cardinals list Drew Stanton as out, two as questionable against Panthers

    The Arizona Cardinals have released their final injury report in preparation for their wild card matchup against the Panthers Saturday. Among those listed, quarterback Drew Stanton is out after not being able to practice all week. Coach Bruce Arians said earlier in the week if Stanton was able to practice for one of the three days, he would have been the starter.  Others on the injury report include Jonathan Cooper (wrist/knee) and Dan Williams (foot) as questionable. Calais Campbell (hip), Larry Foote (knee), Tyrann Mathieu (thumb/hip), Frostee Rucker (ankle) and Lyle Sendlein (back) are considered probable.

    Cardinals' Larry Fitzgerald good to go for Week 17

    Arizona Cardinals wideout Larry Fitzgerald is active Week 17 against the 49ers. Fitzgerald entered the contest listed as probable due to a knee injury. He was never a serious candidate to miss the game.  The club will also have Lorenzo Alexander, Jaron Brown, Calais Campbell, Rashad Johnson, Ted Larsen, Tyrann Mathieu and Matt Shaughnessy for the contest. All seven players were also considered probable. Deone Bucannon, John Carlson and Dan Williams will all attempt to play through injuries. They were all listed as questionable coming into the game.

    Cardinals list four as questionable for Sunday against San Francisco

    With quarterback Drew Stanton (knee) already declared out, the Arizona Cardinals listed four players as questionable for Sunday's game against the 49ers including Deone Bucannon (knee), John Carlson (calf), Johnathan Cooper (wrist) and Dan Williams (foot). Linebacker Larry Foote is also listeed as doubtful for the game with a knee injury. Foote has not missed a game this season, totaling 84 tackles and two sacks. The Cardinals have also listed the following players as probable: Lorenzo Alexander (knee), Jaron Brown (toe), Calais Campbell (hip), Larry Fitzgerald (knee), Rashad Johnson (ankle), Ted Larsen (shoulder), Tyrann Mathieu (thumb) and Matt Shaughnessy (shoulder).
