    Vincent Brown: Released by Saints

The Saints released Vincent Brown (calf) with an injury settlement Thursday, removing him from injured reserve, the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.Brown joined the Saints in May, adding a veteran presence to a receiving corps lacking in experience. However, he failed his pre-training camp physical due to a strained calf, which will bring his brief tenure in New Orleans to a close. The severity of the injury will likely determine when he receives a chance with another organization.

Saints' Vincent Brown: Placed on injured reserve

Vincent Brown was placed on injured reserve on Tuesday due to his ailing calf, Josh Katzenstein of the Times-Picayune reports.Brown moving to the injured reserve list opens up a spot in the New Orleans Saints' wide receiver competition, as he was expected to compete for a roster spot due to his level of experience. However, the veteran wideout wasn't expected to have much fantasy relevance in the event he survived final cuts.

Saints' Vincent Brown: Will begin camp on PUP list

Vincent Brown (undisclosed) will begin training camp on the New Orleans Saints' active/PUP list, ESPN.com reports. The Saints took a flier on Brown in an effort to deepen their wide out corps in May, presumably to add a veteran presence in the aftermath of Marques Colston's release. Being how Brandin Cooks, Brandon Coleman, Willie Snead and Michael Thomas combine for three years of NFL experience, Brown, a five-year NFL veteran, has more experience than the top-four wide receivers currently atop the Saints' depth chart. Should Brown make the final 53-man roster out of camp, he will remain unlikely to achieve fantasy relevance in 2016.

Saints' Vincent Brown: Signing with Saints

Vincent Brown is expected to sign with the New Orleans Saints, ESPN's Adam Caplan reports.Brown was released by the Chargers back in December after playing just one game last season. Over the course of his 38 career games played, Brown has caught 73 passes for 941 yards and three touchdowns. With numbers like those, Brown brings decent experience, but will have to compete for a place in the Saints' passing game over the course of this summer.

Chargers' Vincent Brown: Released on Tuesday

Vincent Brown was released by the San Diego Chargers on Tuesday.Originally selected by the Chargers in the third round of the 2011 NFL Draft, Brown owns a 73-941-3 receiving line (on 133 targets) over the course of five NFL seasons. He shouldn't have any trouble finding a team that will let him compete for a roster spot next year, but he's unlikely to have a significant impact regardless of where he lands.

    Chargers' Vincent Brown: Inactive Sunday

Chargers' Vincent Brown: One reception in return to the Chargers

Vincent Brown caught one pass on two targets for 22 yards in Sunday's loss at Kansas City.Brown was signed earlier in the week to help out a San Diego Chargers receiving corps that has been decimated by injuries, but he was only able to make one grab. Still, his one catch was actually a pretty big one as it represented a key fourth down conversion as the Chargers tried to come back on their last possession of the game. With another week of practice under his belt, perhaps Brown will be able to contribute more next week against the Dolphins.

Chargers' Vincent Brown: Headed back to San Diego

Vincent Brown will sign with the San Diego Chargers on Tuesday, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports.San Diego's third-round selection in the 2011 NFL Draft, Brown never panned out as expected and has since bounced around the league. He has just 72 catches in 37 career games, and even with the Chargers decimated by injuries, Brown will likely just serve as the fourth of fifth wide receiver. He could, however, have a role in the Week 14 game plan, especially if both Stevie Johnson (groin) and Dontrelle Inman (neck) are unable to play.

Vincent Brown: Scheduled for workout in St. Louis

Vincent Brown is scheduled to work out for the Rams this week, ESPN's Adam Caplan reports.Brown, a third round-pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, has just 72 catches in 37 career games. Even on a team without much talent at his position, he'd likely just be fourth or fifth on the depth chart.

Colts seeking third and fourth receivers behind two standouts

The Indianapolis Colts certainly can't be viewed as short-handed at wide receiver. No team lining up T.Y. Hilton and Andre Johnson can be thought of negatively in that department. But the team could struggle with depth at wideout if one or two others don't step up, per ESPN. Plenty of candidates pepper the roster, including Donte Moncrief, Phillip Dorsett, Duron Carter and Vincent Brown. The most accomplished is Moncrief, who racked up 444 yards as a rookie a year ago. But Dorsett has an advantage as a 2015 first-rounder. Carter has two years of experience in the Canadian Football League while Brown has 72 receptions for 919 yards during his NFL career. It remains to be seen how it all shakes out, but the presence of premier quarterback Andrew Luck could prove to make one and all better.
