Brad Sorensen was cut by the Vikings on Friday, Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.Sorensen resigned with the team Wednesday following Teddy Bridgewater's gruesome leg injury. He hoped to compete with Joel Stave for the backup role, but the team has opted to go with Stave. Shaun Hill figures to lineup under center in Week 1.

Brad Sorensen is re-signing with the Minnesota Vikings on Wednesday, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports.Teddy Bridgewater suffered a season-ending knee injury at Tuesday's practice, leaving Shaun Hill as the presumed top quarterback. Sorensen may still find it tough to make the final roster, as he was released by the Vikings on Aug. 20, with the team cutting him instead of Joel Stave or Taylor Heinicke (ankle). Sorensen may just be another arm for practice and/or the final preseason game.
