Quinton Flowers carried the ball six times for 47 yards in the team's preseason finale against the Colts on Thursday. He also added two receptions for seven yards.Flowers got an expanded opportunity to showcase his talents after Rodney Anderson (knee) exited the game prematurely. He did the majority of his damage on the final drive, reeling off runs of 19 and 17 yards. Even with both Anderson and Trayveon Williams (foot) battling injury, Flowers faces an uphill battle to make the final roster cut.

Bengals' Quinton Flowers: Joins 53-man roster
Quinton Flowers was promoted to the Cincinnati Bengals' active roster Friday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.Flowers -- a college quarterback at USF -- signed as an undrafted free agent in May as a running back, and he's been on the Bengals practice squad since roster cutdowns. The rest of the running back group is currently healthy, so he's unlikely to see much in the form of offensive opportunities. However, the 24-year-old looks as though he'll at least get to be on an NFL roster for the final game of the regular season.
