Saints' Juwan Johnson: Zero targets in blowout win
Juwan Johnson had zero targets during Sunday's 44-19 win versus the Cowboys.Johnson was not listed as New Orleans' starting tight end for the second game in a row. Instead, Foster Moreau got the start once again despite coming back from a concussion sustained in last week's win over Carolina. Neither tight end logged any targets Sunday, as quarterback Derek Carr attempted just 16 passes while throwing for 243 yards and two touchdowns to one interception. Meanwhile, Taysom Hill logged one target and three carries before exiting with a chest issue that required further evaluation at a hospital postgame. Through two games, Johnson and Moreau have now logged three and four targets, respectively. While it's too soon to make any definitive projections, it appears that tight end may not be a position that's highlighted in the offense of new coordinator Klint Kubiak. It will be worth monitoring if either Johnson or Moreau see more targets during next Sunday's home game against the Eagles.

Saints' Juwan Johnson: Makes toe-tap TD grab Sunday
Juwan Johnson gathered two of three targets for 26 yards and one touchdown during Sunday's 47-10 victory versus the Panthers.Johnson had one of the standout plays of the game when he made a toe-tapping 16-yard touchdown catch in the right corner of the end zone. The 6-foot-4 pass catcher actually wound up with fewer targets and receptions than fellow tight end Foster Moreau, who caught all four of his targets for 43 yards and a touchdown before exiting with a head injury. Johnson totaled 34 more targets despite playing two fewer games than Moreau last season, and the former was assumed to be the TE1 heading into the season opener. Meanwhile, versatile tight end/quarterback Taysom Hill worked more as a rushing threat out of the backfield Sunday, logging five carries and two targets. Moreau's status is also now up in the air for next Sunday's road game versus Dallas. When he is healthy again, it will be worth monitoring how Moreau, Johnson and Hill are deployed under new offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak moving forward.
