Giants' Jaxson Dart: Tosses three TDs in Week 1 win
Jaxson Dart completed 23 of 29 passes for 230 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday's 28-20 win over the Cowboys. He also rushed 11 times for 54 yards.Dart delivered a superb performance with both his arm and his legs. He threw touchdown passes of 15 and two yards to Isaiah Likely, as well as a nine-yard touchdown pass to Devin Singletary. Dart also finished second on the team in rushing yards, 27 shy of Cam Skattebo's 81. The mobile QB completed all eight of his pass attempts to Likely and showed promising chemistry with wide receiver Malik Nabers (knee), who suited up after being listed as questionable heading into Sunday night's season opener. Dart and the New York Giants will play in primetime again in Week 2, when they visit the Rams on Monday Night Football.

Giants' Jaxson Dart: Feeling confident in new offense
Jaxson Dart said Tuesday that he feels "so much better" now than he did during the offseason program in new offensive coordinator Matt Nagy's scheme, which has the quarterback playing more under center, Darryl Slater of NJ.com reports. As a rookie in 2025, Dart completed 63.7 percent (216 of 339) of his passes for 2,272 yards, 15 touchdowns and five interceptions while adding 86 carries for 487 yards and nine more TDs. But not many of his snaps occurred under center as then coach Brian Daboll attempted to cater to Dart's style of play. Perhaps the change in schemes will help Dart stay out of harm's way more often after he had five concussion checks last season. In any case, it remains to be seen if he'll have top WR Malik Nabers available Week 1 as he closes in on his recovery from last year's torn ACL.

Giants' Jaxson Dart: Rested for second preseason game
Jaxson Dart didn't suit up for Saturday's 26-3 preseason win over the Dolphins.Backup Jameis Winston got the start as Dart and some other key starters rested for the second preseason game. Dart played two series in the preseason opener, capping that appearance with a touchdown pass. It remains to be seen whether coach John Harbaugh gives the 2025 first-round pick any action in Friday's preseason finale against the Jets before the New York Giants kick off regular-season play with a Week 1 home game against the Cowboys on Sunday Night Football.

Giants' Jaxson Dart: Plays two series in preseason opener
Jaxson Dart completed three of four passes for 26 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 13-10 preseason loss to the Vikings. The second-year quarterback started the New York Giants' exhibition opener and saw work on the first two possessions. He was briefly evaluated in the blue medical tent after taking a hit when running back Tyrone Tracy missed a block in the first quarter, but he re-entered the contest. He proceeded to finish off his day with an off-balance 15-yard touchdown toss to rookie wideout Malachi Fields as Dart scrambled out of the pocket to avoid pressure. Dart didn't pick up any yards on the ground, continuing a focus on reining in the reckless playing style that led to him being checked for concussions on five separate occasions in 2025. He should still do damage with his legs once the regular season begins after gaining 487 rushing yards and nine touchdowns as a rookie, but with more skill-position talent around him on the roster and better protection from an upgraded offensive line, Dart may not feel compelled to scramble as often in 2026.

Giants' Jaxson Dart: Expected to play Saturday
Jaxson Dart and most of the New York Giants starters are expected to play in Saturday's preseason opener against the Vikings, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.Dart and the other starters shouldn't see more than one or two series during Saturday's exhibition contest, but it will be the first time head coach John Harbaugh coaches from the sidelines for the Giants after an 18-season tenure with the Ravens. Dart is looking to build off a solid rookie campaign in which he completed 63.7 percent of passes for 2,272 yards, 15 touchdowns and five interceptions while turning 86 carries into 487 yards and nine scores across 14 regular-season games (12 starts).

Giants' Jaxson Dart: Draws praise for inbounds slide
New York Giants head coach John Harbaugh lauded Jaxson Dart for sliding inbounds at the end of a third-down run during a drill in Monday's practice, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports. "I clapped. I applauded. I applauded when he did that. It was great," Harbaugh said. While Monday marked the first time that Dart had slid following a run throughout the Giants' first 11 practices of camp, the second-year quarterback at least appears to be more open to modifying his reckless running style. Though that approach helped him compile 487 rushing yards and nine scores in 14 games last season, it also played a part in him being checked for concussions on five different occasions. During a fan event back in May, Dart said that on third and fourth downs and near the red zone, he still expects to run through defenders in pursuit of first downs and touchdowns, but he expressed a willingness to slide in less critical situations. The 23-year-old will still carry plenty of health risk so long as running remains a key part of his skill set, but even a slight decline in his exposure to contact will help his odds of staying on the field.

Giants' Jaxson Dart: Athleticism key to offense
Coach John Harbaugh said Sunday that Jaxson Dart's dual-threat capabilities will allow the New York Giants to deploy a more versatile offensive scheme, Kevin Patra of NFL.com reports.Harbaugh highlighted Dart's ability to "live in a lot of different worlds," taking looks from under center, shotgun and pistol, which "opens up" play action, RPOs and designed quarterback runs that can take advantage of the second-year quarterback's talents as a runner. Dart impressed as a rookie and now enters Year 2 with a coaching staff willing to lean into his athleticism with built-in designed movement and RPO concepts. His true upside will likely depend on what New York's pass-to-run ratio looks like, and how successfully he's able to stay on the field after taking too many hits as a rookie. Harbaugh said he "trust[s]" Dart's ability to better protect himself in Year 2.

Giants' Jaxson Dart: Adjusting well to new offense
Coach John Harbaugh said recently that Jaxson Dart is "adjusting really well" to the new offense, Charlotte Carroll of The Athletic reports. With Brian Daboll and his staff out the door, Dart has a whole new coaching staff to work with in his second season, from offensive coordinator Matt Nagy to senior offensive assistant Greg Roman to passing game coordinator and QBs coach Brian Callahan. Harbaugh and Roman come from a Ravens team that leaned heavily on the run game, while Nagy and Callahan previously worked with Patrick Mahomes and Joe Burrow in Kansas City and Cincinnati respectively. It's still unclear what this offense is going to look like from a pass-to-run ratio standpoint, but Dart will need to do a better job of protecting himself and staying on the field after he missed two games and parts of a couple others to injuries last season.
