  • Chiefs' Harrison Butker: Perfect again in Week 7

Butker converted each of his three field-goal attempts and added three extra points in Thursday's game against the Raiders.

Butker has been one of the best kickers in the league since his signing from the Panthers' practice squad in Week 4. However, the team's matchup with a stingy Broncos defense next week could limit his attempts.

  • Graham Gano K | NYG

Panthers' Graham Gano: Scores team's lone points

Gano converted his only field-goal attempt to give the Panthers their only score in Sunday's 17-3 loss to the Bears.

Gano overcame a knee injury to suit up Sunday and did all that was needed of him. Although a better offensive performance from Carolina would've helped Gano's output, his relative inactivity perhaps enabled his knee to gain some extra rest. While no fault of his own, Gano's three points still marked a season low, as he hadn't registered fewer than seven prior to Sunday.

  • Graham Gano K | NYG

    Panthers' Graham Gano: Active Sunday

Gano (knee) is active for Sunday's game at Chicago, Max Henson of the Panthers' official site reports.

A late addition to the injury report this week, Gano will be able to perform all kicking duties in spite of a right knee concern. He's a good bet to produce, too, against the Bears, who have conceded at least 12 points to kickers in three of six games this year.

  • Matt Bryant K | ATL

Falcons' Matt Bryant: Cleared for Sunday

Bryant (back) doesn't carry an injury designation for Sunday's game in New England, Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com reports.

Bryant played through the same injury last week, connecting on a 50-yard field goal but missing a 59-yarder. While he won't have the comfort of kicking in a dome this weekend, the Falcons should have plenty of scoring opportunities against a shaky New England defense.

  • Graham Gano K | NYG

Panthers' Graham Gano: Added to injury report

Gano was added to Friday's injury report as a full participant and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game in Chicago with a right knee issue, Bryan Strickland of the Panthers' official site reports.

While late-week additions are often worrisome, Panthers head coach Ron Rivera said Gano would be listed as probable if that were still an option on NFL injury reports, per Strickland. Based on Rivera's comments, the injury to Gano's kicking leg is likely nothing more than a bruise. There won't be any reason for concern unless the Panthers add another kicker to their roster later Friday or Saturday.

  • Matt Bryant K | ATL

Falcons' Matt Bryant: Upgrades to limited

Bryant (back) was limited at practice Thursday, Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com reports.

Bryant didn't make his first appearance at practice until Friday last week, so his back is seemingly in better shape this time around. If he enters the weekend with a questionable designation, it would seem to indicate the Falcons are worried about his back stiffening up. Friday's injury report will relay whether this sentiment is in play for the second week in a row.

  • Matt Bryant K | ATL

Falcons' Matt Bryant: Held out of another practice

Bryant (back) didn't practice Wednesday, Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com reports.

Bryant was held out with the same injury last Wednesday and Thursday, but he returned to practice Friday and played in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Dolphins. He made both of his extra points and one of two field-goal attempts, connecting from 50 yards out but missing from 59. Bryant should be available for Sunday's game in New England.

  • Broncos' Brandon McManus: Still has trust of coach

Broncos head coach Vance Joseph said he still has faith in McManus, who has already missed five field goals through five games this season, SiriusXM NFL Radio

McManus has made just eight of his 13 field-goal attempts, with three of the misses coming from inside of 50 yards. He's at least made all 12 of his extra-point attempts, but the Broncos nonetheless will have to consider a change if McManus doesn't sort things out soon. He was one of the league's better kickers the past two seasons, converting 85.7 percent of his attempts in 2015 and 85.3 percent in 2016. Prior to this season, he hadn't missed from inside of 40 yards since 2014.

  • Broncos' Brandon McManus: Battling the yips

McManus converted an extra point and 28-yard field goal during Sunday's 23-10 loss to the Giants, but shanked a 35-yard attempt and had a 53-yarder blocked.

McManus has already tied his career high in missed field goals with five. Most troubling for the big-legged kicker, he has converted just one of his four attempts outside of 40 yards. If not for the giant contract he signed just before the season, Denver might be looking elsewhere for a kicker right now. Fortunately, you are not similarly on the hook financially. Drop McManus until he shapes up.

  • Redskins' Dustin Hopkins: Placed on IR

Hopkins (hip) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, Master Tesfatsion of the Washington Post reports.

Hopkins will be a likely candidate to return from IR once his hip sprain has healed. In the meantime, the Redskins signed Nick Rose to take over kicking duties. Hopkins is 9-for-11 on field-goal attempts this season, with his two misses coming from 50-plus yards.
