Harrison Butker K | KC
Panthers' Harrison Butker: No action Thursday
Butker did not attempt a kick during Thursday's preseason game against the Jaguars.
Butker saw Graham Gano convert both of the Panthers' kicks (one field goal and one extra point), which ramps up the pressure in the rookie's quest to unseat the veteran incumbent. Next Thursday's fourth and final preseason game against the Steelers shapes up as the seventh-round pick's last shot to win the starting job.

Graham Gano K | NYG
Panthers' Graham Gano: Gets all kicking work
Gano converted his lone field-goal and extra-point attempts en route to four points in Thursday's preseason game against the Jaguars.
Gano converted from 31 yards out on Carolina's only field-goal try of the evening. That precluded rookie Harrison Butker from getting any action, while boosting Gano's performance during the preseason.

Nick Folk K | NYJ
Buccaneers' Nick Folk: Ends camp on high note
Folk was perfect on his five field-goal attempts during Thursday's final camp practice, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Folk bounced back nicely this week after likely fraying some nerves last Thursday against the Jaguars by missing a field-goal attempt and seeing an extra point get blocked. The veteran nailed all five of his attempts Thursday on the 8.5-foot wide "skinny" goalposts that the Bucs had installed in camp this summer. While he'll naturally need to continue getting it done in game action on a consistent basis, Folk's extensive NFL resume lends credence to the belief that he can handle the demands of the job.

Cairo Santos K | CHI
Chiefs' Cairo Santos: Out for Friday's contest
Santos (groin) won't play in Friday's preseason tilt with the Seahawks, Terez A. Paylor of The Kansas City Star reports.
While we haven't reverted to panic mode quite yet, it is somewhat alarming that Santos' groin has kept him sidelined for over two weeks now. The Chiefs remain committed to Santos, but unless he can back to full health relatively soon it may be a good idea to look elsewhere for your early-season kicking services.

Buccaneers' Nick Folk: Rebounds in Tuesday's practice
Folk was perfect on four kicks in Tuesday's practice, including one from more than 50 yards, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.
The veteran likely had planted at least a minuscule seed of concern in the minds of some after missing a field goal and having another blocked in last Thursday's exhibition against the Jaguars. However, Tuesday's effort probably went a long way toward allaying those fears, as Folk made all of his attempts against the nonregulation, "skinny" goal posts that the Bucs have imported for camp practices. While Zach Hocker remains on the roster for the time being as a second option, he's largely viewed as a safety net/camp leg that shouldn't pose a legitimate threat to Folk's hold on the starting job, barring any unforeseen developments.

Greg Zuerlein K | NYJ
Rams' Greg Zuerlein: Perfect through two preseason games
Zuerlein has converted both of his field-goal attempts and all three of his extra-point kicks through the first two games of the preseason.
Zuerlein inked a three-year contract to stick with the Rams in March, so he has a firm grasp on the kicker job heading into the season. Travis Coons is also battling for the job, but all his work has been limited to the fourth quarter so far in the preseason. Additionally, Coons is also competing for the punting job with Johnny Hekker, so the former Browns specialist may only be in camp to keep the incumbents on their toes.

Graham Gano K | NYG
Panthers' Graham Gano: Nets five points
Gano made his lone field-goal attempt and two extra points en route to five points in Saturday's preseason game against the Titans.
Gano missed a 50-yard try in Carolina's preseason opener, so his perfect performance over the weekend should help his case for keeping the Panthers' kicking job over challenger Harrison Butker.

Harrison Butker K | KC
Panthers' Harrison Butker: Makes both kicks
Butker made his lone field-goal attempt and an extra point en route to four points in Saturday's preseason game against the Titans.
Butker's field goal came from 46 yards, giving him another flawless showing after nailing a 51-yarder and an extra point in the preseason opener. As it stands, the rookie remains locked into a competition with veteran Graham Gano for Carolina's kicking job.
