Chiefs' Cairo Santos: Makes one of two

Santos made one of his two field goal attempts Sunday against the Chargers.

Santos continues to be among the top scoring kickers when it comes to field goals, but didn't receive many opportunities Sunday. However, the Chiefs will continue to face favorable matchups down the stretch, making him a decent option the rest of the way.

  • Zach Hocker K | TB

Zach Hocker: Released by the Rams

Hocker was released by the Rams on Tuesday, Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

With Greg Zuerlein (hip) back in action this past Sunday, Hocker's spot on the 53-man roster was expendable. Hocker will finish his stint with the Rams with just one field goal and one PAT to his credit.

  • Connor Barth K | CHI

Buccaneers' Connor Barth: Connects on one of two field goals and two extra points in Week 14 loss

Barth connected on a 39-yard field-goal attempt, but missed wide left from 47 yards in Sunday's 24-17 loss to the Saints. He also converted both of his extra-point attempts.

Three of Barth's four missed field goals on the season have come from between 40 and 49 yards. The veteran kicker's Week 14 misfire came at a key time, as it prevented Tampa from narrowing a 17-10 third quarter deficit after the offense had put together an 11-play, 55-yard drive. Barth will have the luxury of kicking in the ideal conditions of the Edward Jones Dome in the Bucs' Week 15 road tilt against the Rams.

  • Travis Coons K | LAR

Browns' Travis Coons: Six points in victory

Coons went 3-for-3 on extra points and converted a 26-yard field goal in Sunday's victory over the 49ers.

Coons did miss a 42-yard attempt on the Browns' first drive of the game after the field goal was blocked by Quinton Dial. After converting his first 16 attempts of the year, Coons has now missed a field goal opportunity in three straight weeks. Even with an offense that struggles to score at times in the red zone, Coons has remained unable to elevate himself to a status as one of the top fantasy kickers.

  • Steelers' Chris Boswell: Scores 15 points against Bengals

Boswell connected on 4-of-4 field goals (31, 42, 45, 47) and 3-of-3 extra points in the Steelers' 33-20 win over the Bengals on Sunday.

Kicking for the league's number two offense continues to give Boswell numerous scoring opportunities. Thru nine games, Boswell is averaging 10 points per game, and has converted 24-of-26 field goals and 18-of-19 extra point attempts.

  • Zach Hocker K | TB

    Rams' Zach Hocker: Inactive Sunday

Hocker (thigh) is listed as inactive Sunday against the Lions, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.

Hocker was handed just one field attempt and one PAT with Greg Zuerlein (hip) out of the lineup the past two games. The script was flipped in practice this week, though, as Hocker didn't participate in practice Wednesday or Thursday, before matching Zuerlein's week-long full practice designation Friday. After Zuerlein presumably avoided a setback in pregame warmups, he's reclaimed his status as the Rams' kicker, which likely spells the end of Hocker's time in St. Louis.

  • Rams' Greg Zuerlein: Active Sunday

Zuerlein (hip) is listed as active Sunday versus the Lions, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.

Zuerlein practiced fully throughout the week, yet the Rams didn't make a firm decision on his replacement, Zach Hocker (thigh), in advance of Sunday's game. With Hocker inactive, his presence was likely a fallback option in case Zuerlein suffered a setback with his hip. Zuerlein will now take aim at improving his standing over the final quarter of the season, though that may be a difficult prospect within the NFL's 31st ranked scoring offense.

  • Rams' Greg Zuerlein: Probable for Sunday

Zuerlein (hip) is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Lions, Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

It appears as if Zuerlein is now healthy enough to bump Zach Hocker out of the starting kicker position, but the Rams have yet to make an official announcement regarding the matter. More than likely, "Legatron", will be back in action against the Lions on Sunday, but fantasy owners should keep their eyes peeled towards Sunday's inactive list for more confirmation.

  • Falcons' Shayne Graham: Falcons kicker going forward

Graham figures to serve as the Falcons' kicker for the remainder of this season, after teammate Matt Bryant (quadriceps) was placed on injured reserve Friday.

Graham had filled in for the injured Bryant the past two weeks, but now enters this Sunday's game against the Panthers with some clarity regarding his situation for the rest of this season. Last weekend, the veteran Graham made all four of his field goal attempts against the Buccaneers.
