  • Jameis Winston QB | NYG

Saints' Jameis Winston: Awful showing in Carolina

Winston completed 11 of 22 passes for 111 yards and two interceptions while rushing for 19 yards and a touchdown on three carries in Sunday's 26-7 loss to the Panthers.

Good as Winston and the Saints looked in Week 1, they looked just as bad in Week 2, as the former Tampa Bay quarterback tossed a couple of very ugly picks and got sacked four times. The COVID-19 breakout among the Saints' coaching staff may have played a big part in the team's generally sloppy play, but Winston has shown in the past he's more than capable of making bad decisions without extenuating circumstances. New Orleans will look to regroup in Week 3 on the road against a tough New England defense.

  • Tua Tagovailoa QB | ATL

Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Week 3 status TBD

Coach Brian Flores indicated that he's hopeful Tagovailoa can play next Sunday against the Raiders, according to Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network, but more should be know about the QB's Week 3 status after he undergoes tests on his injured ribs.

Flores acknowledged that if Tagovailoa can't go next week, the team would need to make a roster move, given that Jacoby Brissett is the other QB on the team's active roster. Reid Sinnett is currently on Miami's practice squad.

  • Tyrod Taylor QB | GB

Texans' Tyrod Taylor: Iffy for Thursday

Taylor is slated to undergo an MRI on his injured hamstring, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

More should be known about the severity of Taylor's injury by Monday, but Rapoport indicates that sources tell him the veteran QB isn't expected to be able to play Thursday night against the Panthers. If that's the case, the stage would be set for rookie Davis Mills to draw his first NFL start.

  • Josh Allen QB | BUF

Bills' Josh Allen: Tosses two TDs in rout of Fins

Allen completed 17 of 33 passes for 179 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in Sunday's 35-0 win over the Dolphins. He added 35 yards on five rushing attempts.

Allen wasn't asked to do too much with the Bills' defense and running game dominating. He gave Buffalo a 14-0 first-quarter lead with a five-yard touchdown pass to Stefon Diggs before finding tight end Dawson Knox for an eight-yard score in the third. Allen almost scored on the ground in the fourth but was ruled down at the 1-yard line on his slide before watching Zack Moss power in Buffalo's third rushing touchdown on the next play. After facing two of the league's toughest defenses to open the season, Allen will next take on a Washington defense that hasn't played well in the early going despite boasting some big names along the defensive line.

  • Andy Dalton QB | PHI

Bears' Andy Dalton: To undergo more tests on knee

Coach Matt Nagy said Sunday that the Bears will have a better sense of Dalton's knee injury once the quarterback undergoes additional tests, Adam Hoge of NBC Sports Chicago reports.

When asked if Dalton suffered an ACL injury, Nagy said, "I'm pretty sure that we can rule that out." As evidence, Nagy told Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune that Dalton was the emergency option at QB in the second half of Sunday's 20-17 win. Dalton didn't end up returning to the contest, finishing Week 2 with 56 yards and one touchdown on 9-for-11 passing to go with two carries for 25 yards. Meanwhile, rookie Justin Fields didn't do much with an expanded role, completing six of 13 passes for 60 yards and an interception and taking 10 carries for 31 yards. Considering Nagy's comments, the Bears will have a better idea of their situation under center in the next 24-48 hours.

  • Browns' Baker Mayfield: Sharp in Week 2 win

Mayfield completed 19 of 21 passes for 213 yards with one touchdown and one interception in the Browns' 31-21 win over the Texans on Sunday. He also rushed eight times for 10 yards and another score and committed a fumble that was recovered by the offense.

Mayfield fought through plenty of adversity that his ultra-efficient stat line doesn't hint at, as he lost Jarvis Landry early in the first quarter with an MCL sprain and also fought through a left shoulder injury that head coach Kevin Stefanski confirmed in his postgame press conference, per Jake Trotter of ESPN.com. Already without Odell Beckham (knee) entering the contest, Mayfield was forced to make due with a makeshift pass-catching corps that included the likes of Rashard Higgins, Harrison Bryant, Austin Hooper and rookie Demetric Felton among its most prominent pieces for the afternoon. Mayfield will hope to have at least Beckham in the fold for the first time this season in a Week 3 home interconference battle against the Bears.

  • Jaguars' Trevor Lawrence: Two picks in Week 2 loss

Lawrence completed 14 of 33 passes for 118 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions during Sunday's 23-13 loss to Denver. He added two carries for 21 yards.

Lawrence threw three picks in his NFL debut last week but still flashed his potential with three scores, and there were significantly fewer positives in Week 2 while he completed only 42 percent of his passes. The 21-year-old connected with Marvin Jones for a 25-yard touchdown to finish an 83-yard drive to open the game, but Denver stifled Lawrence and the rest of the offense for the remainder of the contest -- Jamal Agnew scored Jacksonville's other touchdown on a kickoff return. Lawrence may need to show that he's settled in a bit before qualifying as a more viable fantasy option heading into a Week 3 matchup with the Cardinals.

  • Rams' Matthew Stafford: Moves to 2-0 in Los Angeles

Stafford completed 19 of 30 passes for 278 yards with two touchdowns and one interception in the Rams' 27-24 win over the Colts on Sunday. He also rushed twice for one yard.

While the numbers may not have been as pretty as during a Week 1 shellacking of the Bears, Stafford still looked in complete command of his new team's offense and particularly was impressive considering the caliber of opponent and tough road environment. Stafford focused heavily on his pair of starting wideouts when dropping back, with 14 of his 19 completions going to Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods, and the former bringing in both of his scoring tosses. The veteran gunslinger could hardly have asked for a better start to his Rams career, but he'll face his stiffest test yet in a Week 3 home battle against the Buccaneers.

  • Bears' Justin Fields: Plays entire second half

Fields completed six of 13 passes for 60 yards with an interception while adding 10 rushes for 31 yards in the Bears' 20-17 win over the Bengals on Sunday.

After Andy Dalton left with a first-half knee injury, Fields finished the game, but he fumbled a ball that he fortunately recovered and later threw an interception that gave the Bengals a chance to make a late comeback. Should Dalton miss time, Fields will have fantasy upside because of his running ability, though it may take him time to develop as a passer.

  • Andy Dalton QB | PHI

Bears' Andy Dalton: Downgraded to doubtful

Dalton (knee) has been downgraded to doubtful to return to Sunday's game against the Bengals, Doug Kyed of Pro Football Focus reports.

Dalton was originally considered questionable to return, but it now appears his day has come to an early end. Justin Fields will handle the duties under center the rest of the day barring an unexpected change in Dalton's status.
