  • Panthers' Teddy Bridgewater: Holds own against Mahomes

Bridgewater completed 36 of 49 passes for 310 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in the Panthers' 33-31 loss to the Chiefs on Sunday. He also rushed twice for 19 yards and another score.

Bridgewater gave a strong accounting of himself in a head-to-head showdown with Patrick Mahomes, and he clearly benefited from having Christian McCaffrey (ribs), who he connected with on 10 occasions, back in the fold. The veteran quarterback not only remained free of mistakes, but he complemented his strong passing performance with two excellent runs, one going for a four-yard touchdown early in the fourth quarter and another a spectacular 15-yard effort for a first down that culminated in an impressive leap past the marker. Bridgewater now has a trio of 300-yard efforts on the season, and he'll look to continue building up his numbers in a tough Week 10 battle against the Buccaneers.

  • Russell Wilson QB | NYG

Seahawks' Russell Wilson: Roughed up by Bills

Wilson completed 28 of 41 passes for 390 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in Sunday's 44-34 loss to the Bills. He also ran twice for five yards and a score, and he lost two fumbles.

The Seahawks got off to a tough start, as they went three-and-out on the first drive and Wilson tossed an interception on the next series. They started to turn it around after that, as Wilson scored on a rare QB sneak in the second quarter, and the Seahawks added a field goal on their final drive of the first half. Coming out of halftime with a 14-point deficit, the Seahawks' hopes of a quick score were squandered, as Wilson was strip-sacked just 18 seconds into the third quarter. Wilson wasn't consistent for the rest of the game, and his four turnovers represented his highest number of miscues in a game since September 2018. However, to provide solace to his fantasy managers, Wilson recorded his eighth straight multi-touchdown game and finished with a season high in passing yards. Wilson draws a tough Week 10 matchup against the Rams, who have allowed just 197.1 passing yards per game (second in the NFL).

  • Jake Luton QB | LV

Jaguars' Jake Luton: Exceeds 300 yards in debut

Luton completed 26 of 38 pass attempts for 304 yards, one touchdown and one interception while scoring a 13-yard rushing touchdown in Sunday's 27-25 loss to the Texans.

Making his NFL debut, Luton completed an impressive 68 percent of his passes and averaged a healthy 8.0 yards per attempt. He connected with DJ Chark for a 73-yard touchdown early in the game and later added a 13-yard rushing score to pull his team within a field goal late in the fourth quarter. Gardner Minshew has yet to resume throwing while recovering from multiple injuries to his thumb, so Luton seems primed to build on a productive debut next Sunday against the Packers.

  • Lions' Matthew Stafford: Avoids concussion

Stafford was cleared from a possible concussion following Sunday's 34-20 loss at Minnesota, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.

On a fourth-quarter sack, Stafford's head hit the leg of a Vikings defender, and an official immediately directed him to the sideline, where he was evaluated in the blue tent before going to the locker room. Fortunately for Stafford, he's avoided a sour end to his ordeal from this week, in which he had another false COVID-19 positive and just barely got through the league-mandated protocols in order to play Week 9. Before his departure, he only managed 23-for-32 passing for 211 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. His next challenge comes next Sunday against the Washington Football Team.

  • Jaguars' Gardner Minshew: Not yet throwing

Coach Doug Marrone said after Sunday's loss to the Texans that Minshew (thumb) has yet to resume throwing, Mark Long of the Associated Press reports.

The 24-year-old missed Sunday's contest while dealing with multiple fractures and a sprained ligament in his right thumb, and his outlook for the immediate future remains muddled. Minshew's practice participation later in the week should indicate whether the injuries have improved, but for now, he doesn't appear significantly closer to retaking the field. Rookie Jake Luton received the start versus Houston and completed 26 of 38 passes for 308 yards with two total touchdowns and one interception, so he figures to start again next week against the Packers if Minshew remains unavailable.

  • Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes: Another prolific performance

Mahomes completed 30 of 45 passes for 372 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions in the Chiefs' 33-31 win over the Panthers on Sunday. He also rushed twice for no gain.

The Panthers, which got Christian McCaffrey (ankle) back in action Sunday, gave the Chiefs a lot more trouble than many would have anticipated, forcing coach Andy Reid to keep his foot on the gas. That paid off for Mahomes, who was able to eclipse the 300-yard mark for the fifth time this season and throw at least four scoring passes for the second time in as many weeks. Mahomes helped Kansas City overcome an early 14-3 deficit with a one-yard touchdown toss to DeMarcus Robinson, and he came alive in the second half by hitting pay dirt with Clyde Edwards-Helaire on one occasion and Tyreek Hill in two other instances to complete the comeback. Mahomes will look to put together a third straight prolific effort in an AFC West showdown against the Raiders in Week 11 following a Week 10 bye.

  • Kyle Allen QB | BUF

Football Team's Kyle Allen: May avoid surgery

Allen is slated for an MRI on his dislocated left ankle, but the fracture that accompanies it is "just a small bone chip" and may not force him to undergo surgery, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

There doesn't seem to much question that Allen will miss time, but the aforementioned testing will determine how long he'll be sidelined. In his absence, Washington likely will turn the offense over to Alex Smith, with Dwayne Haskins serving as the team's primary backup.

  • Lions' Matthew Stafford: Being examined for concussion

Stafford was evaluated in the sideline tent before going to the locker room after his head hit the leg of a Vikings defender during Sunday's game at Minnesota, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Stafford was sacked on the play, and afterward officials directed him to the sideline to undergo testing. After his departure, the Lions confirmed that he's being examined for a concussion, which would place him in the protocol for head injuries if he's diagnosed with one. If he's unable to reenter the contest, Stafford will end Week 9 having completed 23 of 32 passes for 211 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.

  • Ben DiNucci QB | DEN

Cowboys' Ben DiNucci: Healthy scratch Sunday

DiNucci (coach's decision) is officially inactive for Sunday's game versus Pittsburgh, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.

The rookie seventh-round pick received the start last week but wasn't even in the conversation to start again Week 9 with Andy Dalton (concussion) testing positive for COVID-19. DiNucci completed 21 of 40 passes for 180 yards with zero touchdowns and two interception. Garrett Gilbert will start at quarterback Sunday, while Cooper Rush was elevated from the practice squad to serve as the backup.

  • Kyle Allen QB | BUF

Football Team's Kyle Allen: Suffers apparent ankle dislocation

The initial diagnosis is that Allen suffered a dislocated ankle Sunday against the Giants, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Per Pelissero, the QB's injury includes a small fracture. Assuming that diagnosis is confirmed, Allen will be in line to miss time. In that case, Washington's options to replace him in the coming weeks will be Alex Smith -- who took over for Allen on Sunday -- and Dwayne Haskins.
